Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Guardinia officially has the 15th largest arms manufacturing sector in Apolyton. Granted, we're no match for the Hive (2nd), but still pretty decent, I'd say.

Perhaps a little more sabre rattling can actually be good for business...

Nevertheless, Guardinia wishes to end the current crisis as soon as possible.

Tips from Guardinian Central Command: It's cheaper to keep your tanks and buy some ammunition every once in a while.

That's it. We're increasing the property tax on the luxury villas your political elite love seem to love so much. With all that extra money you have, surely you can afford to spend a little more in our tropical paradise.

Well done! Guardinia's officially made it up to "Fair".
Funny thing that our economy is improving now in the middle of this massive money drain military crisis...

Well, like I have said before, I am role playing the Guardinian economy a bit larger than NationStates seems to think it is, but we're definitely going to be in trouble if this crisis drags on for long...

Al Mastif's attitude towards military spending very much counts as 'Ruled', it has a Frightening economy and it doesn't rely on weight of numbers.
How can I not god-mod without figuratively shooting myself in both kneecaps?

Actually, Arms Manufacturing used to be my primary industry, but I haven't got it for a while, so it has been usurped by Uranium Mining for the time being.

Let us see:
Arms Manufacturing - implies decent military (at least).
Uranium Mining - can justify nuclear weapons program, especially as a nation's main industry.
Besides, my nation's got a pretty damn good manufacturing sector, being 9th out of 88 nations with a much smaller population than the others on the front page.

So what's your point?

True, very true.

Having a good manufacturing sector means you can turn out plenty of extra materiel (notice my "sophisticated" French-oid spelling of "material") in war time.

Actually, the term manufacturing sector indicates that we're talking about a percentage of your business, so a larger nation with a larger economy could have a higher production output than yours even if their manufacturing sector is smaller.

Since when? I'm hardly omniscient when it comes to economics, but I have never encountered the term being used as you say it is.

Think of the entire economy as one big circle - or a cake if you like. Then you start cutting out pieces of the cake. Each piece is a sector, and it also represents a certain percentage of the total economy. That's why a sector diagram is called a sector diagram.
