The Doctor and Theben rise again, and after observing the rising bloodlust of the crowd, they clearly decide that they should be fighting rather differently.
They approach one another quickly and both strike with care - Theben makes some small attempt at defence, but the Doctor wastes no energy on defence as he hacks brutally past Theben's shield and through his amour to cut deep into his arm. Theben also hits the Doctor, but only achieves a mild cut.
The Doctor's Rapier is not designed for such use, and is wedged in Theben's armour, leaving the Doctor defenceless. Theben is quick to take advantage and skewers the Doctors unprotected torso. He is distracted by the pain of the Doctor trying to extract his blade, however, and does not do as much damage as he might have.
With a great heave, the Doctor removes his blade, and takes a goodly chuck of Theben's arm with it. The Doctor is unbalanced by the sudden release, and is unable to stop Theben reaching forward and cutting a slice across his torso, deep enough to cut muscle.
Theben took 58 damage, leaving him on 62HP. The Doctor took 62 damage, leaving him on 58HP.
I'm accepting orders for round 4.
Well, half their hit points gone in one round. Ouch.

With scarcely a pause for breath, Jamski-San and Chaunk close to within one anothers reach once more.
Chaunk seems to have decided that his overemphasis on defence has been his downfall, and raises his blade for a crude hack at Jamski, which is easily brushed aside.
Hoping that Chaunk was thrown by his defence, Jamski performs another expertly placed jab, giving Chaunk a matching hole in his other shoulder. He needn't have placed the blow with such care, because Chaunk, though he recovers quickly, is still focused on attack and is able to reverse his stroke and embed his blade in Jamksi's thigh.
Chaunk pulls away, and attempts a third wild swing, but Jamski-San stops the blow on his shield.
Jamski took 24 damage and drops to 88HP, while Chaunk took 12, leaving him with 68HP.
I'm accepting orders for round 7.
Chaunk pulls a little back. If he can repeat this performance a couple more times he'll be in the lead.
