a few days ago an old bug was rediscovered in our scripts. a forum may be turned off, but one can still access and post to it if he can guess or find out it's number(nothing difficult, you just look for the "missing number" in the links of the front page)
some people took advantage of it and had their own little fun are. unfortunately for them, our resources are not here to provide place for spam, vulgar language and porn links
the penalties for these posters according to their involvement is as follows
3 weeks disablement from posting, 50% post count reduction(pcr)

I made one post in the damn thing, telling them to edit their crap...sheesh...but it's ok, cause I like being Prince Charming...in fact, if it can be arranged without me having to be a bad boy, I might just want to stay here. My symbolic Anti-Spam Stand.

Upon further reflection...this seems like a very equitable and fair distribution of punishments...I'm surprised you went to so much trouble to assign different degrees of retribution, in relation to offense.
But if you want to protect your source, you'd better give him at least a cursory slap on the wrist (like me). Otherwise, you've just made him a huge target for accusers...

From what I've heard about who posted how much of what, it doesn't seem quite fair that the horse got off without even a pcr. How did you determine the punishments, and how accurate are my sources on what happened?

Well I mean some people didn't do much except post there. It isn't exactly policy here (as far as I know) to have to report something to the mods right? And it's not like everyone posted porn.

right. it was only %10 for some of the master spammers... it should only take a few hours of spam to get that back.
