As stated in chat, however... whichever guy is willing to serve as a Consul in the PTW DG should we lose one of our current Consuls, I'll vote for the other guy!

hmm... guess that doesn't help getting people to volunteer, does it?

Ah, but see... this would be my first time as Consul. This could really get me in to the job. If, on the other hand, I lose a highly contested election like this... well... I might become bitter and retire from the whole idea in both games.

To be serious for once in this post: I just checked the Constitution, and going strictly by it we'd have a 48-hour "runoff" even though we only had 2 candidates in the initial election.

And to think that when a few people got together to write Apolyton's first comprehensive Constitution, they didn't even consider tied elections worth covering....

(and we've had at least five or six tied elections since then in the various DG's )
