	Throne room, council & city veiw Put an end to popups!

I've been playing around with Rune Berge's Gif Extractor and I noticed all the images for the throne room and city view are still there in the DLLs. The text file for all the council's advice is also there in the ToT root directory. I wonder if it would be possible to write a patch to replace the bits and files that were removed (due to space restrictions) from the game.

I have no idea if it would be possible, or how hard it would be, but i guess you would probably need to get some bits from the developers, and write a patch to put them into the exe?????

I know people have worked out which sections of a save game are linked to the improvements a city has, so it seems like it might not be too hard to use that to reinstate the city viewer, but my programming knowledge is just about zero so I don't know.

PS I only just registered and I couldn't find rules about posts, where are they? and is there anything that is not blindingly obvious?

You make it sound very easy. That would indeed be what we'd need, but that's not something developers like to give away just like that.

I've had annother thought!!!

If the ingame movies (wonder movies, and any other movies i dont know about) are in .AVI format it should be possibe to put them back in with the events file, using the trigger 'CityProduction' and the 'PlayAviFile' action.

Downloading all the AVI files could take a while on my 56K though....
