Its for ALL Xbox games though.

Yes some types of games are free on PC (FPSes and RTSes and etc), but still, if you have one game you really wanna pay for like you said, then you'd be paying for it anyway... and then all other xbox games become free MP wise.

Can't wait to get Xbobx live.....

Also is it just me or does xbox ver of halo seem just better than the PC one? I thought I'd like PC no matter what because of the good ol keyboard and mouse, but on pc it just feels whack.

discuss.

Absolutely, it feels wrong on the PC.

The PC version also lacked cooperative play, the best part of Halo...

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I agree that Halo feels messed up on the PC. I think it's because of 2 things. First, driving without a joystick sucks. Second, your damn master chief moves so slow it's infuriating. What's the point of upping the mouse sensitivity to look around faster if you can't get out of the way of anything at close range?

BTW, I also think Halo might be the most overrated game of all time.

I havent played the PC version, but just looking at graphic card comparison test where Halo is one of the test games along with UT etc, it always seems to score at the lowest framerates - so i'm guessing that on the PC its very resource hungry!
(what was xbox spec again? something like a P3 700mhz with a 64MB geforce2 type card?)
On the Xbox its a very good game and co-op is great fun. Even with the gamepad controlling the warthog can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, although i could drive it nearly anywhere as long as the front end fit in

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

The PC version feels fine, unless you are used to the feel of the XBOX version already.

I concur on the system requirements though; Halo is the only game I played from that period that I couldn't play maxed out.

Halo is no landmark, but I think it's a fun game.

Got spare money?

The Chronicles of Riddick - where did this sneak from?

(link to reviews of game at happypuppy website).

Well a new FPS on xbox - didnt even hear about it untill i checked what was new at gamespot. It sounds impressive, BUT overall the reviews say it only offers about 15hrs of gameplay and has no real replay value!

For me thats £2.66 per hour of game time..... Anyone play it as most reviews rate it very high?

Sadly, 15 hours is the standard for action games now. Usually one can console (hehe, sorry) oneself with the fact that you can easily play the game through several times if it is fun. Why does this game have no replay value?

I dont know, its what a few of the reviews mentioned, overall they seemed to say 'little replay value', so that would have been a better qoute.

For a game that seems to have won the reviewers top scores, its weird how it kinda just seemed to turn up which is kinda unusual - i didn't even know it was being made.

15hrs was the outside prediction, some said around 12hrs...........plus it has no MP, which i gather for a FPS fan is abit below the belt, especialy with so little offered in the SP game(even if it is of amazing quality).

I think i'm just against this trend, which i call the 'hollywood syndrome', we see in modern game production.

15 hours isn't thta bad. I saw online where some guy/girl butm ore likely a guy, beat Mario 3 in 11 minutes.
Mario still has replay value.
The only reason tha this game "has no replay value" is becasue the reviewers said so, try renting it and finding out for yourself.

Well I don't want to split hairs, (I'm going to anyway though ) but how fast a game can be beaten in a speed run is beside the point. We're talking about how many hours of gameplay the game takes to finish first time through. I doubt anyone has ever finished Super Mario 3 in less than 15 hours play.

Btw if it's the same Mario video that was circulating a while back the guy admitted it was fake.

What about Tetris, or thsoe really old atari games that just kept getting harder and had no final stage?
I sort of figured htat Mario video is fake, that guy gets going wayy too fast.
