Cheap game to get is Kung Fu Chaos!

The game is awesome, the graphics are great, and the references to old skool kung fu movies are funny.

I'd have to agree to get the Splinter Cell games, they look so good I personally consider 'em pieces of art.

Halo is good, but Halo 2 is comin' out.

Crimson Skies got a pretty high rating in Game Informer.

Knights of the old republic (great RPG)

Morrowind (very nice RPG, but it's definitely not for the casual gamer)

Splinter Cell (the first one is worth buying, not the second one, unless you want to play online. I you don't want to play it online, rent it: I heard that SP Pandora Tomorrow is really, really short).

Grand theft auto.

What do you like? If you like RPGs, Morrowind GOTY would be a very good choice. You have 400+ hours of gameplay for 35$ CD. The Grand Theft Auto double pack is also a great deal: two great games for the price of one.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Generally I'm not a fan of racing games but if there is a spectacular game I will definetly check it out. I like RPG's and FPS. I also like Hockey, Basketball, and Football games. Strategy and "Splinter Cell" games are also games I would check out.

DOA3 is a pretty fun game.

i also suggest those games asher suggested again.. amped 2, soul calibur, halo, madden etc etc...

And with any spare cash any of the other titles mentioned so far that you might like

that lot should keep you going for atleast 6months

Out of interest have you played 'Rocky'? I would be interested in Fight Night, but i'm thinking they may be too simular to each other to have both?

And yes for FPS nothing is as accurate as a mouse - game console controllers usually use some form of auto-aim, which defeats the object to some extent

No I have not (Rocky). I did like the old TV sports boxing on my miga which got picthed long ago. FN reminds me of that. Good stats system, interesting controls, blocking, ducking and weaving.

I was diappointed last night by the ending, if you want to call it that. I was the champ and have been for some time. I finished by bout (with another ko) and the interface said, "You've had a good career, now it is time to retire" I would have preferred some system that your stats start to deteriorate, and you choose the time to retire.

I played this career on normal difficulty, and started a new one last night on hard. Just had time to create my boxer before CSI Miami came on. Oh, and the boxer set up is one of those create the look. You can make your boxer look exactly like...well yourself, including your last name on the trunks.

al ldpends on oyur fav game type and age ...

I only buy games for Xbox for my kids so stick to a few easy games such as Simpsons road rage and such like....

Halo 2 is not out yet. The other games you mentioned are about 70$ CD each, and Morrowind GOTY is about 35$ CD.
