a virtually undefended settler wandering right beside the borders of carthage caught the suspicion of a weakly defended city.

despot mao did order his men to move away from the imminent thread, but let them settle right beside a elite trained mercenaries. fatal mistake, as it turned out, because the whole population of the once proud china committed mass suicide when just one single city was fallen!

i'm sorry rommel... nothing personal. in elimination mode, it's just too risky to defend cities with a single spearman.

and btw: i never entered the cultural border with my elite NM. you built the culture around me (nitpicking, i know ).

riders aren't that harmless as you might think.

but getting your city didn't need luck. it was a single battle... i would have expected more defences in an elimination game. 4 spearmen on the front lines, 1-2 in each city behind
