Innocent Arabs? Some are obvious arseholes; those that are carrying out attacks against innocent Israeli's/Jordanians/[insert country of origin here], but we forget that there are a lot of Arabs in the Mid-East that are just living their lives.

"Nuking them off the face of the Earth" would be just as bad. Tac-nukes, hitting concentrated areas of them and/or bases would be a drastic improvement.

Innocent life lost on either side is an atrocity.

I'd rather be on the receiving end of a chemical attack than a conventional attack.

We're very lucky that the terrorists are wasting so much energy trying to acquire such an impotent weapons system. Gas isn't banned because it's super-effective, it banned because it's ungentlemanly.

Also, the idea that nukes are an appropriate response to chemical weapons is completely and utterly insane.

Not really. All are WMD. In general, every country's policy is that an attack with WMD will be met with WMD. Since Israel only has nukes...

WMD is a meaningless category, a politically motivated invention with no basis in reality. The killing power of chemical weapons is pathetic compared to conventional weapons.

If they manage to kill, say, a dozen people with chemical weapons, are you seriously suggesting that it is appropriate to respond with nuclear weapons? Kill thousands of innocent people in retaliation for a dozen deaths?

As for the WMD classificiation for chemical weapons: no, they are not on the same magnitude of nukes- in fact, they are really in the same class as explosives- the difference being chemical weapons imobalize or highly demoralize the enemy much more effectively than heavy explosives-but they are not any more effective in killing people.

Biological weapons might be as bad as nukes, but only highly advanced ones.

You Isreali's and supporters advocate dropping nuclear weapons on (neutral) countries not involved in your problems. AQ does not have a capital or any territory. Probalby not. After all, a full out soviet assualt on the US with thousand of even larger nukes was supposed to kill about 150 million. You guys have smaller warheads and smaller range. Spread them out and you are unlikely to get close to 100 million.

Umm, I've heard a similar amount of estimated US casualties back in 62'. Anyway, American population is spread more thinly. I mean, 20 million in Cairo only.

Yes, but cairo is a HUGE city, spread out, plus less wood construction than Japanese cities. I would bet that a 200 kiloton warhead right in the middle of the city at optimal times would not reach 400,000 dead in such a modern city- you would need a spread of nukes, perhaps up to 15 to come close to killing 20 million there.
