Well that explains the smell, but what can explain the fortunes of war. A reinforcement ship to Centralia was blocked by chinese explorers. So the brave defenders stand alone.

Well Sabre, I certainly wasn't going to allow you to walk into my undefended cities after I had thrown my entire military strength at you. So it was either give them away or abandon them......and remember that at this point, China remains in the game and the Celts are her neighbour

So no, it wasn't spite......ongoing strategy, as long as I can hang on to something. I'm sure you can appreciate that.

rickety gave Masuro all his cities, which Paddy didn't like since he was wanting to capture them. Then Masuro started abandoning his as well. Still, it wasn't going to change anything....just as what I did isn't going to change anything in ADR

Again and again the Iroquois charged the city walls, and just as many times they were repulsed. Such fanatical determination is a terrible thing to see in an enemy, yet in some way evokes respect amonge other soldiers.

That is why when dusk fell and the wounded and injured on both sides took stock and counted their meager blessings, some of the citizens left the safety of the city to go among the Iroquois with water and what aid they could give. After all they were all soldiers far from where they would want to be.
