this game is full!

game type: 4 human players, each with 2 civs of which each have 2 settlers to begin with

players (in playing order):

sabrewolf, 22-24 GMT (sabrewolf AT blackhole DOT ch):
-- sabrewolf: netherlands
-- swordfox: sumeria

gamecube64, 01-04 GMT (Caspiansea_weed AT hotmail DOT com):
-- Gamecube64: ottomans
-- PlayPyramid128: iroquois

aqualung71, 12-17 GMT (akwalung71 AT yahoo DOT com):
-- Aqualung71: inca
-- Thriller: china

1889, 15-23 GMT (klemnrussell At cableone DOT net):
-- 1889: mayans (Pakal, the Great Instigator of the Mayans)
-- 1215: celts

game rules:
- standard map size
- emperor difficulty level
- 2 settlers per civ
- everything else: default and random

multiplaying rules:
- we're playing by the iron civer tournament rules and etiquette!
- battle results are to be published
- every players marks the playing of his round by posting a short message in this tracker thread, ideally with the year number the next player is playing.
- public agreements and alliances are to be held. if they have to be cancelled, say so 10 turns prior to the breaking of the contract, or buy yourself out of the agreement.

here's the message i posted in the beginning for recruiting us:

i'm looking for players who are NOT limited to specific playing times can play their turns virtually any time a day, in the morning before work, at work, and in the evenings/night.

basicly computer-addicted nerds like myself

aim is 3-4 turns per day, more is welcome

so, please, only flexible players!

I can start when summer starts, if no one else is interested by then maybe just us two and some AI? Though if it isn't done by the end of summer it will slow down alot unless we play big spurts. I can be found to be on anytime from 8 AM to 10 PM CST, unless I'm doing something. Vacation starts the second of June, I think.
During school I could be on from 3:30 to 9:00 PM CST.

Heck, if it is just us two, and we do enough big spurts, we might be able to finish it pretty quick.

looks like 4 players now... so lets close it off for now (any other players interested, please PM me)

as for the world map - i'd like to have everything random, except the world size. nearly everyone would chose byzantines on an archipelago map

as the criteria for this game is good flexiblility, i think we could even go for stardard sized maps (or large, if we feel couragious )!

as we're not playing with AI, we would have space for 2 civs per person. it's currently running in another game and quite fun! just one of us was unlucky to be stuck on an island by himself.

my civ choice: netherlands (plus sumeria, if we go for 2 civs)

so far, no collisions in civ wishes, but aqua hasn't yet said which civ he'd want to play.

1889: i'm not at all against newbies, but one always has to be sceptical (in several games a newb dissappeared and never came back).

do we really know that you're dedicated enough and will stick around until the end, even if you may be losing?

don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to be nasty... i just don't want yet another dead PBEM.

I should throw ye overboard for that comment matey (overboard of my PBEM) but we need ye mate.

If we are playing two civs and all random settings change my second to Aztecs or Iroquois (surprise me ) Don't want a ship UU on a pangea after all... not exactly the best choice.

aqua: yes, i'm sabre, aka as the farmboy ... i love agricultural the dutch are my allround favourite and all others depend on the map settings.

the aim is to have several turns per day (the condition to even participate), but not every day is possible for everybody.

so that we can at least get through 1 per day, please post the times when you always can play.

Hmm... my best time would probably be 1-4 A.M. GMT, 7-10 PM CST.
