A rather uneventful first turn, as the racers accelerated off the starting line. The Ram did move a couple lanes to the right in order to prepare for the narrowing of the track coming up ahead. Luckily, Rah used a wildcard to accelerate an extra space, so no collisions occured. However, the track only gets narrower as we go along, so the probability of a crash only increases as the race continues.

Now accepting orders for round 2...

Chaunk and Skanky continue to accelerate in the outside lanes of the track, and Rah used another WC for acceleration as he enters the 1st turn.

Then there were Jamski, Spaced, and The Ram. Jamski and Spaced were forced into Ram's lane by the narrowing track, and he was certainly aware of this. Each of the three racers opted not to accelerate, as they each assumed that the other two drivers would accelerate and crash in front of him, and he could just drive on by. Unfortunately, their scheming backfired.

Rah continues to accelerate through the first turn and is now approaching the second turn with both the lead and a speed advantage. One wonders, though, if he is going too fast for the upcoming turns. Skanky and Chaunk are neck and neck for second place; will they be able to avoid colliding in the upcoming narrow turns? Jamski, Spaced, and The Ram accelerate as they enter the first turn, trying to make up for the time they lost in their collision.
