Is there any good Earth world map with specific starting locations in conquests? So if I choose the English for example I actually start on England. I always loved that in Civ 1, being able to play the world map, with fixed starting locations.

I have wondered this myself, but I never bothered to hunt for one. I just took one of the multitude of World Maps that came with the game and edited them to have every civilization's starting location predetermined. It worked beautifully, except I'm sure I screwed up with the middle eastern civilizations (So many civilizations, so little room.) and, probably, the american tribes (Well, I knew the Aztecs/Mayans were in central america and that the Incans were in the mountains of South America, but the Iroquois went over my head. I just slapped them in Canada.)
So, I say just fire up the Civilization Editor and set them all to your liking. It'll take about five minutes or so. Sorry for not being exactly helpful.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's been a great help.
God, what a game conquests is. It is everything and more that I wanted from Civ III. Civ III actually bored me from out the box. The scenarios are awesome.
