BK: While you may be familiar with my views on many social issues, I would rather this Apolyton Democratic Party be relative devoid of stances on social issues. For instance, I think that you and I might agree a lot of many different kinds of national policies, despite our differences on divisive issues like gay marriage and abortion. I'd rather be part of a big-tent party that prides itself on pragmatism and sensibility rather than a party that takes strong ideological stances.

But that's just my opinion.

Considering that conservatives have the majority of the posts on the thread, you may have created your own rallying point.

Thanks for the consideration though. I'm more of a maverick, and I like staying out of any particular party. More freedom of movement, so to speak.

this may surprise you imran, but you and I would probably agree with a whole lot in terms of policy as well... you have more faith in the "honesty" and "good will" of corporations than me, but generally, I suspect we could each survive in each others respective world.
