Don't worry Spaced, I'm staying in the race - just glad I managed to keep it down to only 2 *'s offroad, not 3. With Rah's new crash rules I'll still have speed 6 *phew*

But where will I be placed? And what direction?

closest to where you went off. the direction will be determined by judgement/some random. (i will not point you in such a direction where you will be off the track again on your first move.

If I judge that it's part of the strat, penalties will be invoked. So far, I think it's just been carelessness.

And partially my fault for not putting in that one critical * in that turn.

Actually if people had breaked from the begining and continued breaking, minimal WCs would have been needed. I assumed that people would chart that out. I don't know how many times that I said to save up WC for later in the race.

But you're right, I probably overdid it, but I really wanted a different type of race. In the last race, I won it on only the second turn in the race, and from there it was all over. While it's nice to win, it lacked suspense. Everyone's first track has had some type of minor flaw.

So think of this as the ultra nasty, that a good compromise will come out of. I did run this track a few times and it is possible, But at some points people are going to have to SLOW down.

Rah,

That is the point that I am making. I can't nav the whole track, but I could at least see that I'd need to slow down or burn mucho wildcards from the get go.

What I don't want to happen is everyone just accels into a wall and then goes on from there, while Mr slow speed (AKA me) tries to drive this bear without a crash. (and for that matter conserving wildcards for the end).

It was my plan that those crashes will cost more WCs, as is the case with Jamski, which in the long run will make him really slow down. Saved WCs will help in the last 50 spaces which will be the true test. Enough of the track will be revealed soon, so you will see what I did. I hope I got the balance right.

BUT, If I believe that people are driving off the track just to slow down, they will receive additional penalties.

An interesting turn as three people fly off the track.
Skanky, Chaunk, Jamski. Chaunk and Skanky left the track in the same place so it was random for replacement. Chaunk won that roll. All directions were set to north as a further penalty, since I believe that while these leaps of faith were not intentional, I don't want people to benefit from them. I will be stricter in the future.

And for future fly off the tracks, I will expect people to use a wild card to apply an EXTRA break prior, to help convince me that it was not planned.

Most of the track is now revealed. You can even see the finish line, but the part you don't see is a killer.
Save those wild cards.

All thre straightaways in view are sandbag alleys.
