Since we're aleady talking about concelement, darkness and such.... Anyone want to suggest some character building tips for a Monk of the Dark Moon?
I'm thinking of a human monk/sorceror multiclass that doesn't use any weapons. (except maybe shurikens)
The problem I'm having with ability scores is that with this multiclass I really need quite alot of everything to get what I want. I need 15 dexterity for circle kick, I need wisdom for the monk bonuses, I need 13 intelligence for disarm, I need alot of charisma to learn my spells as I progress, and I need strength for damage/hit bonuses (I could take weapon finesse, but feats are sparse and it doesn't provide extra damage)
What about this?
12 strength
14 dexterity
12 constitution
14 wisdom
13 intelligence
13 charisma
I would riase dexterity at level 4 and 8, and charisma at 12 and 16, and whatever beyond that.
As for feats, the only ones I have marked down as absolutely neccisary are Blind Fighting, Circle Kick, Disarm and Expertise (I'm thinking that my starting feats would be Blind Fighting and expertise). Dodge would be nice too, and is there really any point in geting mobility when tumble will be maxed? Is weapon focus really worth bothering with as a monk? Is improved critical worth bothering with when you don't use a weapon? (unarmed strikes only get criticals on a 20)
And spells... I don't really need alot of help in that department, but maybe if there's someone here who's more familiar with forgotten realms they could tell me what's most typical of a Monk of the Dark Moon to have. I'd just be geting things like magic armour, ray of enfeblement, negativity burst, darkness, ghostly vissage, ect...

Owch... Monk/Sorc multi is going to be pretty weak stat-wise. You're not really going to have good STR for damage, nor good DEX or WIS for AC (the big Monk advantage) and with a low CHA you'll not get many bonus spells, and your DCs will be low too... The one thing you can dump out really is CON, and compensate with "not getting hit" and DR spells and items. So I'd suggest an Elf, since you can get your CON down to 6 then, although you'll have to level monk/sorc equally to avoid an xp penalty since the favoured class is Wizard.
Actually, a Monk/Wizard is going to work better, since you need some INT anyway, and then you can dump out the CHA and save stat points for the important 4. Ergh, ugly stats with 6 CON and 8 CHA, low low low HP, but hard to hit, gets spells faster, and with no risk of an xp penalty for the multiclass.
You're going to need Improved Unarmed Fighting and Improved Critical (Unarmed) as well, and Knockdown/Improved Knockdown is great for a monk too. (I suggest buffing, casting Invisiblity, running in at hasted Monkspeed, putting them on the floor and Flurrying them before running off to re-cast invis)
Oh and with the low CON you'll get crappy Concentration checks, so Combat Casting is a must. I'd drop the crap feats like Blind Fighting (blindness is very rare with Monk's exellent saves), Dodge (a mere +1 AC vs the first attack each round) and Expertise (Monk BaB is 5 lower than a fighter's at level 20 anyway, and the Mage levels will make it even worse. Adding Expertise will mean never hitting anything)
But this is all from a power point of view, not a RP one, so don't be discouraged

Now that I have HotU, would it be worthwhile installing it now and then restarting my OC game? I haven't played it for ages, but my girlfriend has work to do this evening, and my softball match has been moved to tomorrow, so I find myself with a window of opportunity.
I doubt that I can instal HotU and keep playing the current game with the extra classes, spells, etc so what would anyone advise? I reckon that since my fighter hasn't even used her bow since I picked it up for nothing in the training hall, then I won't ever make arcane archer, and would probably need a better INT score to be able to get the spells anyway. So I can play through as a mundane fighter (level 3, 3 levels of fighter) or I could start again with a better idea of what to do (and a much better CHA, so that I actually get some other quests).

You can install HotU and keep playing your OC, it makes no difference. However, if you feel you have gimped your character then reroll.
