Recent appearances by Makeo, Trev and Hydey have given hope of continuing games in the future. If we could all just remember to turn on icq when we are online gentlemen ............. (you too Hydey)

I also badly want to conclude the spaceships game with finbar and was feeling a little guilty about not being available recently - until I realised that if finbar's arty and economically illiterate mates stopped bashing the US FTA then I would have more time to play civ damnit!

That game has been quite fun. Next time we should do a "no wonders" version.

sorry- I got beat up by finbar's trade luddite mates down in Melbourne on Friday and the casualty nurse said my wounded pride would not heal propoerly if I was up after 10pm

2 players should be enough to have a game but yes, I'll try and notify in future. Did you start something?

I'm still sorting my **** out. I've been trying to get jobs and a place to live and have nothing sorted at the moment. i had a job but it sucked so i quit.

Remember a band called Not Drowning, Waving? Melbourne, late 80s, early 90s. David Bridie was the leader. He and some of its members formed My Friend The Chocolate Cake in the early 90s as a sort of second outfit, a means of making different music. My Friend The Chocolate Cake remains an occasional gathering together of the band members for recording and touring. In fact, they performed in Canberra last night. Bridie did the music for the telemovie.

Usually I can't play Friday mornings (some of us work Monday to Friday, you know ), but in a couple of weeks I'll be on my vacation so it's possible.
