There's a contestant that's currently on who has won 11 days in a row and has amassed over $371,000.00. Apparently he's so good that
1. He has never been challenged on the final Jeopardy question, always having more than twice the amount of cash that the second-ranked player has.
2. One of his opponents put down as her final Jeopardy question "What is same as Ken's answer?"
Sorry for the NY Post cite, but it's the most current article I could find: http://www.nypost.com/entertainment/23172.htm
He's from Utah, so one of Tassy's neighbors are doing good.
quote: June 17, 2004 -- Ken Jennings' record- setting "Jeopardy!" streak reached 11 consecutive appearances last night, as the soft-spoken software developer continued to rack up the dough — with no end in sight.
Jennings' "Jeopardy!" booty now stands at $376,000 after last night's show, when he fended off an attorney, Josh, and a writer, Patricia.
Jennings will try to continue the streak tonight (7 p.m./Ch. 7), as he makes his twelfth consecutive appearance on the show.
Jennings has averaged over $34,000 in winnings in each of his appearances.
Jennings, the married father of an 18-month-old son (Dylan), works in Salt Lake City developing software for a healthcare-placement firm.
The previous "Jeopardy!" record for consecutive appearances, seven, was set last January. |

I was thinking the same thing, but I can't disagree with the change as it will help to create Jeopardy records and 'legends' such as this fellow.

this guy is still going
It was reasonably close tonight. The top 2 guys (ken was one of them) had over $20,000. But Ken still won out.

I caught it maybe wednesday, just amazing how easily he defeated his opponents. This lady with 80's big hair looked and sounded bored when she could muscle in. He actually missed the final jeopardy question (q was who were Jefferson and Adams, he said Lewis and Clark) but still won handily.

He got #18 today. They made him work a little; he didn't have it wrapped up going into Final.
The guy is just scary good. I don't know how they'll ever get rid of him without cheating or just putting in a new wins limit.
