It seems I have been newly elected as Mod, so the first thing that needs doing is sorting out the forums.
Firstly, do we want to continue with this forum, use the police state game one, or have a new one? All options are subject to Ming/the owners veto, but would be good to see what people want.
Secondly, who will be the mod and authoriser for each forum? It's up to each faction how it decides, although I suggest some form of democratic way, and then I'll PM the names off to Ming and ask that the new forums be created. In the state of the game thread, it had been posted that obstructor would be for Gaia and Skanky Burns for Sparta, but please confirm this.
If someone has the civgroup images, that would be a big help too 
As for the rules, HongHu has a thread concering what is cheating and what isn't, although that is unofficial, and solely confined to what is or isn't cheating. The rules have been discussed in many places, it seems, but no obvious consensus reached on all, so I'll start a thread discussing what the rules should be, and what should be left up to a faction to decide. Once we've got ideas down, and a coherant set of rules, I'll poll for them to be accepted, and then we're ready to go 
If anything else needs discussion, please tell me.

Comeon the game has started, setup the private forums?
"Skanky" is the mod for the Spartan forums.
"Kody" is mod for the CMN forums
For Gaians make "obstructor" the mod
For Data angels make "Geomodder" the mod
For Morgans hrmm that's a tough one "jtsisyoda" since he stuck with the ACDGII right to the end.
Also if anyone is concerned about the forum bug maybe someone who's friendly with MarkG or DanQ broach the subject. I personally think it would be really easy to fix, just need to put in an extra if statement in the php code.

I think given a hour or two and the forumdisplay.php plus the showthread.php I might even be able to learn php and point out what line or two would be need to be inserted to fix the bug.

I say Geomodder becomes mod for data angels if nothing is said..... Assuming he gets out of his extensive +1 ing with Honghu in the old private forums.

Sounds fair to me. If peopel can't access Poly, use another forum as well for those that can, and hopefully the Poly problem can be sorted soon.
If there is a reason a team wishes to use another forum a lot too, then I'll happily agree to it, but if there isn't, main forums on Poly is the way to go, IMHO.
