It doesn't lok good at this point I've heard nothing about the servers being restored. I wqas hoping to finish our game at some point.

In the meantime I've been drawn into the ctp1 PBEM games

They will not. The current official message is that they've decided to stop supporting CtP. I wonder why's that .

Just because theres no more than 10 active CTP2 players doesn't mean they should stop supporting them. It says right on the box that they support multiplayer and they should have to uphold that promise perpetually.

The servers were hosted by someone else than Activision... Activision decided to give up in CtP and all of its players very soon after the CtP2 release, remember? I can't quite forgive them for that.

Activision were hosting their own servers in the beginning but they soon disappeared. I think they were expecting more demand, like CtP1 sales.

Id email gamepoint in Holland, seeing as their the only ones running a CtP2 server now. I did last time the server disappeared, not sure it helped any, but the server came back.

i was also playing a game regually at weekends with a m8 over the net, but after returning from hols have found no servers i have since emailed activision 4 times asking why? or for active server lists or if its possible to dial directly into my m8's pc to play that way (no reply yet) but they just dont seem interested to me, i read that someone has emailed a web site in holland that used to run a server, could you post the address so that i and others could also do this hopefully they will reinstate it then.

Yeah, i think the sourcecode project is working on renting a server and using Anet, now we dont have one.

I emailed gamepoint last time the server disappeared and it reappeared like i said, not that im saying it did any good, they didnt reply at least. I didnt email them this time because i havent really been interesting in MP for a while. The site is http://www.gamepoint.net/ and the contact is at the bottom.
