Since the only thing that is currently happening in ACDG is Enigma bloody constant complaining 'where is our turn' and 'take a more capable turnplayer' + constant pinging and threats about eradicating faction if turnspeed does not improve, and this is however allowed , I am no longer interested in ACDG. I will remain here for a week, and then abandon the team. You will probably need a new private moderator, so I would ask for one. I will also finish test results I promised and first issue of Voice of Planet. I am sorry, but I cannot tolerate his harassment any longer. He is intentionally bugging me, and do not have any willpower to tolerate it. I have been driven mad by his constant insults of our speed and turnplayers, and constant pinging that continues by hours. Lately, he has started lying to me about mods trying to provoke conflict with them. Perhaps if I leave his wrath decreases towards Gaians.
So we(you) need a new moderator who will top/detop threads, and authorise people. I am finishing test results right now, and I will finish VOP tommorow. I will also continue my duty as a private mod for now, but I will inevitably leave this faction. My nerves are gone.

Yes, please stay, obs.
EN used to annoy me, but then I realized that his constant self aggrandizement and belittling of others shows:
* He is a bully
* Has a poor self esteem, and can only feel better about himself by cutting others down
* Is probably not anywhere near as brilliant as he claims to be
* Will have a very hard life when he grows up. Then he will learn that cutting people and laughing at their pain is a sure fire way to be isolated and alone.
* Regardless of his intelligence, he has a low wisdom, and very little common sense.
The bottom line is that he drives you away he wins. That is the tactic of a bully.
If you’d like, I’ll let him flame me for a while. He thinks I’m a moron anyway and, since I don’t care about his opinions, this should distract him from you.

Obstructor, please don't go. I will relay your complaint to Drogue. Perhaps everybody in this forum knows what kind of a person Engima is. Don't let yourself be driven out of this game by him.
Honestly I was also feeling rather grim about this game. There was a point that I had thought about distant myself from this game too. (You all have probably noticed the "HongHu is lost" noncenses.) Enigma is only one person. He is eager and enthusiastic. He used to be very violent. But he's learnt to be more tolerant. He is still quite annoying and arrogant, but I think giving time he'll improve that too. What made me feeling depressed, is not because of Engima himself, it is more because of other's attitudes. I saw bad behaviors were not checked, and sometimes I felt that the atmosphere smells hints of venom.
Enigma is still learning the best way to interact with the others. There is a balance that one need to be careful to maintain. He needs a helping and guiding hand, warm but firm. If it means anything to you, we have had spent quite sometime talking about how to help Engima at the CMN forum. I just want you to know that you are not alone.
Obstructor, I think you may not know how valuable you are to the Gaians team. You are the one that made this team becomes a reality. You are the glue that make this team stick together. I have fighted you in the past. I have made your life a little bit harder I think. But during our interaction I came to understand you more. Do you know how much effect that the last couple PMs we exchanged had on me? You opened my eyes and made me truely understand what the culture difference we talks about everyday really means. I felt this game is an rewarding experience for me, for the first time.
Don't leave us, Obstructor. I truely believe if each and everybody try our best, we can still make this world a beautiful place.

Obstructor, glad you are giving us a week, and maybe at the end things will be fun again and you'll want to keep the role you have. If not, it looks like Hydro can fill in for awhile, which I support. You could take a back seat and cool off. Just don't swear you'll never come back. No bridge burning.
You are a great leader for us. I hope you will hear our pleas for you to stay and will take heart from all the comments. We're understanding the situation and maybe doing things about it from what it looks like. Tis good news.
About E_N, that center of controversy, which he loves so much.
E_N just wrecked a PBEM, again. Bear Baiting . I am of the mind to have him informally banned from games for 6 months. If I had the power, I think I'd do that.
HongHu, you know my feelings on the matter. Let me just say that I disagree with those of you that think E_N just needs to grow up a little. I am fairly certain of personality disorder and a bit of sociopathy. He is out of control. Out of bounds I guess you could say. Encouraging him and helping him to play-well-with-others does produce some results, but this is a veneer over an extremely self-centered core, from what I can see.
I had a chat with him on IRC yesterday, trying to get Bear Baiting going. After asking him to take some responsibility, his reply was along the lines of 'Well about that situation I just feel W/E'. so he feels whatever. I don't want to waste any more time on the details here. Suffice it to say, I'm convinced that PBEMs are not a good venue for him to do any growing up he is capable of doing. People like me come back to Apolyton or are new and don't know him, and then we waste lots of time playing with him. Yep, he needs a ban.

Obstructor: I understand what you mean, and your reasons for leaving. I am annoyed with him about it. I sympathise. I would like you to stay, but I understand why you'd want to go, and I can stand in to top threads, etc until another mod is appointed. I can't allow people in though, so staying to do that at the moment would be much appreciated.
I believe Hydro is completely right. Enigma is unwise, and doesn't realise what he's doing. He's incredibly immature. However I am not willing to kick him out yet for immaturity, but if this gets much worse, I will do.
You have my sympathies, and I hope you don't go. He has promised to stop the personal attacks, and I will come down on him hard (via Ming ) if he doesn't. However whether to stay or not is your decision. I hope you can return when this has died down a little, at least.

He all,
In one of ob’s first PMs to me he mentioned that EN had a vendetta against him, and that it would be a real challenge for the Gaians if EN ended up on an opposing team since that vendetta would then extend to the team. At the time I knew very little about EN since I tend to ignore nasty people. Now it is clear that EN has continued his vendetta since, although EN is unpleasant to almost everyone, he has singled obs out for his very particular attention. I’ve met very few people at Apolyton that I wouldn’t play a game with, and EN is one of them. I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him, and he sours the entire environment for me.
It will be hard if obs leaves since he was the driving force to get organized, and has spent a lot of effort to keep folks interested. I know I don’t have that kind of energy, nor that kind of creative impulse. Frankly, my ties to ACDG are for role playing and that’s about it. I’m happy to let others make decisions on strategy. One of obs many strengths is that he helped create a team feeling, encouraging and even inspiring others (letting them shine where they can) and has a hand in all aspects of ADCG Gaians.
So, I offer a compromise. If obs wants to leave because EN is an *ss then we can’t stop him. But, I’d love to have obs still participate. A new person could be the ‘face’ of ACDG3 Gaians, and obs would be more than welcome to participate behind the screen in the private forum, or as he elects. This means that nasty-ol EN will have to find a new lightning rod for his unvarnished affections, and we get to keep ob’s extremely valuable contributions.
Obs? What say you?

"Here here!" Well said Hydro, exemplifying the qualities which would make you a perfect substitute if Obstructor really needs a vacation. I think there are a few of us really focused on the turn-play strategy more than role-play, for time reasons, so that's fine. On the other hand, we are feeling really empty around now. See the turn-thread. I'm doin' my best to fill in for Chaos on vacation, but I'm new to ACDG. Thankfully I'm very cautious and not shy about asking questions. We could use a few more strategists though. Heck, we could use more of everything, most especially if Obstructor were to out-and-out quit.
Also, keep note of how many thread-linkings and post-crunchings Obstructor has been doing. That's a demanding job, and quite boring and unnoticed. I commend you for volunteering Hydro. With so few active members right now, we don't need much except to keep the turns going while we re-organize, if that's the case.

Edit: And I also support Drogue and thank him for his time with us.
