Today, I discussed this trip with my travel agent. She wants some time to look into possible stop offs for me in Hong Kong & Shanhai once I leave the Phils.

I stressed that the most important part of the trip is the Hong Kong - Cebu leg. But she'll see if we can't meet up in SF on the way over.

I'm supposed to get a call from her on Monday.

(BTW, I'm booked to fly out of Cebu on Oct. 1 at 7:55 p.m. --My travel agent wanted me to get me on a flight at noon on the 30th because it makes subsequent connections so much easier. However, the big fiesta blowout is on the 29th, & I didn't seem wise to plan to leave early enough next morning to leave Bohoi and get to Cebu by noon. )

Since we originate in different places we could meet up for that flight from Hong Kong to Cebu that Zkribbler listed. We already have our tickets, so you could shoot for getting on it too.

Do you need our travel agent info? If you're getting quotes more than $1100 round trip you might want to check them out.

Theban might want to tkae that Phillipine Airlines change planes in Manila to Tag route that you told me about. I'm guessing that'd be quicker than going thru Cebu.

I wanted to go thru Cebu so I could ride the jetboat. --BTW, is it bumpy enough so that I should be bringing seasick pills?

And will we be out in malaria country, so I should get innoculations?

FYI: State Dept. recommends Hep A, Hep B, rabies, tetnus, and Japanese encephelitis for travel to the Philippines. But they don't cut your paycheck, so do as you see fit.
