Please, enlighten us. I'd be interested to hear such "evidence," as I've seen all of the purported "evidence" the Pyramid was the work of aliens being torn to shreds by learned Egyptologists, anthropologists, historians, etc.
Really, the Pyramids wasn't the engineering "miracle" seem to think. It required enormous manpower, but Egypt certainly had that, as well as free time due to the flooding seasons. And even this may not have been necessary, if the theory is correct that the blocks were actually a limestone concrete that was poured on-site, rather than huge blocks hauled from quarries. The architecture is basic geometry. There wasn't anything miraculous about it at all.
Certainly, some supposed Alien race who had the technology to somehow travel here (how did they do that, anyway?) would have been able to produce a far more impressive technological feat than the Pyramid.
And what about all those previous pyramids that were the prototypes? There is a very clear succession of pyramid-building in Egypt that shows early, failed attempts and less-successful ones that build up to Cheops. Seems to me that would indicate the Great Pyramid was just the ultimate in a long line of monument-making.
And did these aliens help the pyramid-building that went on in Mesoamerica centuries later? I mean, if the ancient brown people of Egypt were too dumb to build a pyramid without extraterrestial help, I don't see why the ancient brown people of Mexico should be able to do it.

quote: Boris, the main evidence lies not in the engineer details, but rather in the astronomical orientation of the pyramid, its locations and the Texts of Pyramids. Mind you, traditional egyptologists get many things wrong anyway. So those are the first things to consider. |
Again, this assumes that ancient people were dumber than us, that they couldn't look at the stars themselves, assign meanings to their annual movements, and align the pyramids to meet their religious demands. The Egyptians were no different: they knew that when Sirius rose in the east, just ahead of the sun, that the time for the Nile's annual flood was imminent, especially in 2,500 BCE, when Sirius' rise was exactly on the first day of Spring.
However, the alignment of the pyramids do not coincide with Orions belt, as many would have you believe. The alignment is off, the spacing is wrong, even when compensating for stellar drift over the past 4,500 years what you're left with is a mere approximation. As a matter of fact, the closest match between the pyramids and Orion's belt occurred in 10,500 BCE (appx. 8,000 years before the pyramids were built) - and even then, it's nowhere close to "matching" mathematically.

Mohenjo-daro, now I recall.
I'm not joking. I'll pull the article up again, sometime soon.

But wouldn't an advance civilization, one capable of building nuclear weapons and using them on a scale that not even our civilization has done... wouldn't other evidence of their existence be known? Like depleted ore/oil stocks, roads linking the cities, and etc?
In our case, I firmly believe that in order to erase all signs of today's global civilization from the face of the Earth, you'd have to have an event of truly crust-shattering proportions on a global scale. It's not the roads, or the buildings I'm thinking about, it's all the mining that we've done over the past 6,000 years. Nuclear war, ice age, even a nearby supernova wouldn't erase all the evidence of multiple gigatons of ore extracted from the ground.
I call BS.

The Great Pyramid and the Sphinx WERE built in 10500 BC.

Like that big huge ball of glass in the ground in the Sahara desert, that reminds one of a giant source of heat somewhere to melt all that silicon, perhaps a nuclear war? That is also as radioactive?
I read also that the warring nations had air and spacecraft. They can mine their stuff from the moon. If you did not know, tritium is found in great abundance on the moon, people are thinking of using it as fusion reactor fuel.
Generally, the barren wasteland caused by mining can also be wiped out; for all we know, the Sahara Desert could be actually the area they mined from, till they made it all barren. You know the steps for desertification? Loss of topsoil, loss of rain to other areas, damaged ground and poisons from mining...
The evidence is a lot, also shown in the caves around the area. I also honestly don't think roads would survive, but perhaps they do; after all, it wasn't till a satellite mapped the underground they found an ancient highway buried that ran from Oman to Israel. Generally, the depleted ore can disperse, decay, as well.
Anyway, humans have so far only excavated a very small fraction of what underground there is left to discover.

"The Great Pyramid and the Sphinx WERE built in 10500 BC."
Well the Sphinx was anyway, according to the erosion evidence.
It was built by aliens btw.
