What are the 5 most interesting things about you? Support Apolyton

1. I have a lovely, brilliant little girl in addition to my lovely, brilliant wife.

2. I have performed a corporate takeover. Corrolary: Though I'm 37 years old, I have never had to go on a job interview for a "real" job.

3. I believe in nothing but myself. Oh, I have opinions and "rules of life", things like that, but actual rock-solid belief? Naw, not for me.

4. Until the age of 4 I had my own language, one that could only be understood by my brother. "Una gatta byttie tow" meant "I would like to eat... NOW!", stuff like that. I started to speak English only as I started to read it. By the time I was 7, however, I was reading HG Wells, Lords' A Night to Remember, stuff like that.

5. My two year battle with my parents. However, I must grant that is probably only interesting to those involved by now.

1) living to tell 'bout dying

2) lots of colorful adventures (the devil's mountain incident, 'tater knob (another mountain), the taco story, hurrican lamp story, etc., etc., etc.)

3) Dyslexic, but write books anyways

4) have had the honor and pleasure of meeting the love of my life. Lost her, but it was enough for the rest of my life. *sad smile*

5) being able to say that had I been able to choose from a menu of possible lives to live at the moment of my birth, THIS LIFE would be the one I would have chosen for myself.

1) I'm loyal. Loyal to the core. If you make a real friend out of me, you never have to walk alone, even in troubled times. It is my best and maybe only real virtue.

2) I love fighting (in the ring). At one point I really wanted to be a professional NHB/MMA fighter.

3) I have never romantically loved anyone.

4) My strength is my biggest weakness. I am very versatile and can do many things, but I have difficult time to concentrate on one thing alone.

5) I'm real life Supercitizen. And a winner. And humble.

2) I respect people the most when they want to achieve knowledge without sophistry.

3) Few people ever get to really know me.

4) I've given birth to a very intelligent son who consistently scores in the top 5% on nearly every test he's given./

4 and 5 just don't make sense together.

As for me, I would like to think there are at least 5 things interesting about me. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about most of them without the risk of going to jail.

Plus, I have no idea about Tassadar's personal life except that I thought Tassadar was a he and is a Commie from the former Soviet Union.

I'm fairly boring:

1) I'm gay (not that interesting to some, if not most)
2) I'm a total computer geek without being the D&D/Star Trek nerd, without having a nasal voice, without a pocket protector, and without the usual elitist snob appeal
3) I'm on an internship with IBM across the country from my family
4) I'm in a successful long-term relationship with a boy who just graduated from high school and is going to the University of Waterloo in September for Honours Chemical Engineering
5) I'm extremely friendly (in person), and, consequently, I make friends extremely easily; yet online I prefer to be more confrontational, and less concerned about politeness and formality than about correctness and bluntness.

Well, based on what people say about me, the most interesting things about me would seem to be:

1) I have an astonishing knowledge of an astonishing range of uninteresting fields.

2) I'm very tall and thin. (Judge for yourself: 1.88m, 65kg)

3) I don't speak much of myself. (I guess this thread is an exception.)

4) I'm a rigidly rational thinker, who's lacking in the empathy department.

5) I'm an extreme nightowl.

... and I wonder why people think I'm a geek.

1. I suffer from a severe form of depression and ADD. The only reason I haven't committed suicide is my mom. I'm in treatment, but without much success. My depression pretty much defines me, which is sad IMO.

2. I love cats and I understand how cats communicate with humans. I'm not Doctor Doolittle or anything like that, but I feel I have a bond with cats that most people don't have.

3. I'm a bit of a philosopher. I have my own, well thought out, personal belief system about life, morality, and of course, politics. I'm not sure many would agree with me... religion is bad, drugs are good. Most of you are familiar with my views.

4. My family history is quite unique. One half is Yugoslavian (half Serb, half Croat), and one half is mixed (half American mutt, half Macedonian). My grandfather is 82 and still works full-time. I'm 24 and I can barely leave the house without having problems with anxiety.

5. My father had a stroke when I was 6... in front of me while he was making dinner for my sister and I. I'm sure that had a big hand in causing many of my problems. My father has aphasia, but he's alive. He is currently dealing with heart failure, but his health has improved. I feel like I never really knew my father because the aphasia affects his speech in a major way. He has trouble getting his thoughts across at times. He's retired now because of his health and he and I spend a lot of time together at home. He's a huge Cub fan and I want the Cubs to win the World Series because I know how happy it would make him.

2) Two weeks after above accident found out that I was going to be a daddy. Another week after finding out I was gonna be a daddy, I lost the love of my life to a car accident

3) Have a younger half sister that shares a birthday with me that I have never seen.

4) Been fortunate enough to fall in love twice in my life

5) Started writing poetry in the last year

1) I married (and divorced) a girl I should n't have, got so put off by commitment that later I didn't marry the girl I should and lost her.

2) I had an out off body experience when I was 7 when I nearly drowned, but don't believe in all the mystical BS, I think it's a mental reflex thing.

3) This time next year I will be (hopefully) finishing my degree at the (then) grand old age of 36

4) I'm a very shallow (ie. not introspective) person, IMO theres less to upset you that way.

5) I am one of the least motivated people I know, life just seems easier that way!

1. Most of my friends say that I am the smartest most well read person they have other met. Still, I can drink half of them under the table, and those I can't only because they started there. My intelligence is underestimated only because I prefer it that way and have developed a personality and habits to cover how nerdy I actually am.

2. Married to a very stubborn, self-directed, egotistical woman... and despite what I may say, and how much we argue, I wouldn't have it any other way.

3. When around the house I always have a 70lb. german shepard at my side, a drink in one hand, and notebook nearby. The dog for companionship (I hate feeling lonely, but like being alone), a drink for a trip (the stress of life can get too much for me), and the notebook for one of the projects I am always working on.

4. I have learned to control my emotions, and rarely get mad or sad. This, however, causes stress that I don't even feel but has manifested itself in physical maladys such as migranes, shingles, and occasional rashes.

5. I have a good memory, sort of... I can read a book and tell you were certain passages are, I can drive to somewhere once and get back there years later, however I can never remember ppls names. Which is odd because most ppl get fustrated with you if you can't remember their names, but I get fustrated with people when they can remember what I told them last year.

1. I thought I was a person who is loving and tolerant, but I just realized that I am actually a rebel. I fighted the authorities since I was five, perhaps younger but I don't have memories of it. (My parents being the authorities in that case.)

2. I have the two cutest boys in the entire world. Yeh yeh I know.

3. I have a big mouth. Meaning I talk a lot without thinking and cause troubles.

4. I have no sense of any kind of measurements, be it length of time, distance, weight, height, whatever.

5. My life cycle is 25% slower than others. Meaning I'd be 30 years old when I am 40 years old.
