The "what the heck are we doing thread" Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Now that the investigation is over and no wrong doing on GWT's part was determined by the game admins, Im wondering what are plan is now that the invasion cat is more or less out of the bag with GWT?

I think I know what we are doing buts thats because Im occassionally in chat and generally read most of the threads. But my guess is the more casual lurker probably does not know.

This also dovetails into what we should tell CFC to do and they are waiting for an answer as we speak over at the Alliances thread at CGN.

So what specifically is the plan, and what are the contingencies.

And what do we recommend that CFC do?

Thanks

You dont need to jump to the final step Trip.

First we would like to try communication.

We're quickly approaching "worse than snail mail" pace here, if this thread is any indication.

You tell me.

Right now we're sailing the fleet around north, as Trip and others supported in the other thread. Maybe we'll get to land still, but I'm not so hopeful.

On the homefront, we have two seawalls of units pretty well constructed. See the latest screens for the latest progress.

Our cities are being built up and we have several wonder builds in progress.

Other than that, I don't really know. We badly need to straighten out our domestic front.

The eastern peninsula is well covered, but everything in the north and northeast is exposed. Are a few jungle cities far from Karina really worth more than protecting Ming, Banana and the road to Karina?

Im not very hopeful either but if this is going to be our strategy then so be it. How does the CFC landing play into this and more specifically what should we be telling CFC and for that matter CGN right now so they know what is going on and in CFC's case what we want them to do to try and cause the best chance to create the fog of war in GWT's mind?????

We NEED to communicate to them.

I don't know. We need to figure out if we want to just have them get in and do what damage they can, or if we want them to wait and time their landing to a little before we will be making our second attempt. I don't know the answer to that, so...

Right now the Consuls are assembling orders from E_T's spreadsheets and from their own judgement. There are two problems with this: A) E_T's spreadsheets get vaguer and less well-planned out as we go further past the last turn they were updated, and B) The Consul's quick turn-by-turn judgement can't match that of MoI people who have a more well-thought out plan in to the future for each city.

Well it seems like there is at least some support to go north out of site and hope for an opening after CFC lands. I personally think this is our best chance right now. Notice I didn't say good chance, I said best chance.

So I support this, I believe Trip supports this and at least a few others. Can we just go ahead and say this is the plan? Figure where and when we want CFC to land (about the time we have the largest force near the north and consolidated I assume) and tell CFC? I guess we really need a command decision from the consuls. I for one will back the consuls no matter what they decide, but right now I think making a decision is the most important thing.

Is OPD not the new MOI per this thread: A New MOI Department ?

And Bf has volunteered to help. If the MOI orders get vaguer and vaguer, I guess one of those two or both need to take a look.

I'd be willing to, I'm just not sure I'd be able to do a good a job as is required.

I'd rather a lesser role. Perhaps with alot of input and decision making from the forum it'd be cool.

I think with DeepO's latest posts you could consider him an advisor to you.

assuming that we get MV, then not much. no relative increase in ship speed, and the GL only affects sea tiles (IIRC). All we need is to set up a navel picket, as Trip suggested a couple of months ago...When does GWTs' GA anyway?

Really? so it's finished? Seems a bit of a wierd way to spend a GA...To free up land so that an ally (whom is known to be untrustworthy) can grow as strong as themselves...

Well thats not the only reason GWT launched the war.

The anomosity between the two is litterally ancient. They had some border disputes ages before GCA jumped over there.

GWT saw CGN on its way to a victory. They felt CGN needed to be taken down a notch.

GWT certainly did that.
