Drake not to flame you but to share with you

several weeks ago a TROPICAL STORM (before Charley) came through here and killed several..spawned a deadly Tornado..

While I understand your purpose..I have been through 6 CAT 2's and tell ya they still cause damage..

CAT 2 that far away will of course lessen the effects to Che...

Being Prudent is not being a wimp...however

I will say this, that if you are under a Typhoon warning (I am assuming a Typhoon is a Pacific version of an Atlantic Hurricane) then your boss is a weinie and very insensitive and has no concern for life or family.....


I have seen personally and been through personally too many Hurricanes..THEY DO CAUSE PAIN AND LOSS OF LIFE

I will say this I am all man and the older I get the more I feel less of an urge to prove it

But..Please never take a Hurricane lightly...Please

Nah, Japanese people are just desensitized to danger. I guess it comes with living in the world's most volcanically active country, a country battered by typhoons and having an earthquake every 5 minutes.

Bunnygrrl's still in Chicago, so she'll even miss the party with Ivan, should he decide to stop in. On the Doppler radar, the rain looks like it's coming nowhere near me. It is windy though. My windows are rattling already. In St. Augustine, 30 miles from here, they're reporting gusts up to 42 mph.

I would remind folks that even though Bonnie came nowhere near Jax, she did spawn a tornado here. Just cuz we seem to be avoiding the storm doesn't mean we're out of danger yet.

Watching the clouds scud across the sky was fun though. They're really moving.

I might wanna rethink the moving away from Jacksonville thing, since Jax seems to be missed by all the storms.

well.."CATEGORY" wise is was smaller at land fall in the US as oppossed to the CAT4 status it had near the Bahamas), but lots of flooding (which is the worse overall effect of a Hurricane) Tornados and storm surge (the ocean water pushed on shore-5'-10' above normal)


It was so slow and still is...image a buzzsaw..


lots of damage...time will tell.the eye is just over land


"IVAN" right now about the same path about a week out as well

It's been like that for over ten hours, now.

They're expecting it to weaken to tropical storm strength...eventually, but to rev back up into a hurricane once it hits the Gulf.

Next week, but hopefully not here. Ivan might actually tear itself apart, as they expect it to be moving at 70 mph for a bit (the storm, not the winds).

Biblically, God mostly used plagues, followed by nearby nations with a beef, droughts, and the occasional insurrection. I think earthquakes were used once (twice if you count Jericho), and not one hurricane or wildfire.

One more thing: he has never used lightning as an overt act -- that would be Zeus, not Yahweh.
