BTW, this whole "Howard only offered a contrary opinion" line is pure chicanery. Howard led a concerted attack on Blair, the Bush administration's most valuable ally in the War on Terror. He didn't just voice a dissenting opinion.

On the other hand, it hasn't touched the Conservatives in the polls. And considering how massively unpopular the Iraq war is in Europe, press about how Bush is coming down on the Conservatives for not supporting it will only help them.
