@Jim Panse, actually, if you want to provide a really good unit, how about a good NV/VC infiltrator (essentially a spy unit to monkey with South Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Laotian cities and units, where the US, as a Democracy whose unique unit advances are prerequisites no no, would evade the worst effects {except sabotage and water poisoning in their bases}). It's an idea I've been toying with, but I need a good unit graphic. If you could cook one up, I'd appreciate it.

I need just one more unit graphic, if I could, to take advantage of a hypothetical situation in the war that could easily have happened. I need an immobile Soviet Embassy unit. You see, it would be placed in Hanoi at the start. During actual US bombings of North Vietnam, according to a source of mine, the Soviet Embassy came close to being hit on several occassions. I thought that if, while the US is bombing Hanoi, the Soviet Embassy comes up as the defender (by that mysterious algerithm that chooses who defends for a given attack) and is thus destroyed, some Soviet 'volunteers' and MiG-25's arrive in Hanoi under North Vietnamese control (I already have good graphics for those), which would be just as powerful as US General Infantry and one of their main air units. What do you think?

Okay, guys, here's the playtest beta, if any of you (or anyone else that cares) could do the honors. I have yet to write an appropiate prosaic readme or introductory text (there will be one in the final version), but there is sound. It does use Kit Olson's map (with some modified terrain, including a Mekong Delta and a Tonkin Lowland) and his city locations (with several added), plus a lot of graphics from this thread, but the tech tree and Wonder concepts are mine. Note that the blue dotted line linking Hanoi to the VC Encampment through Cambodia and Laos is the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which reads as railroad (I have yet to modify the labels text), though railroad can't be built. Please let me know what improvements need being done (and what's a good idea). Thanks!
