What's the issue Bongo? We don't want to lag too far behind the other games unless it is very important, IMHO.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I asked McMeadows for a combat report for 825bc but he denies combat even took place. He blames Flandrien for the attack even though it should be obvious McMeadows is the only one who could have done it.

The pic shows the situation outside copenhagen at the end of my turn 850bc. At the beginning of next turn, one vet spearman had suddenly lost 2hps and got a promotion. Like a 4/4hp spearman will go to 3/5hp without anyone attacking it

The interpretiation of rules question is this: Does level 1 combat recording imply that *I* am the only one who are supposed to make reports?

*A* unit is dead, I don't know which and I don't know if there were more than one.

I've sent three request for a combat report to McMeadows now, he blamed Flandrien in the first two and haven't answered the last one so far.

I'm holding the game until he gives me the report, or proves to me it is possible that Flandrien could have done the attack.

It looks like the only way Carthage could attck the Mongol spearmen would be if Flandrien had an army of horsemen in his stack...

He didn't, and even that would not have been enough. You need a 4-move unit to attack across an unroaded jungle-tile.(a conquistador will also work btw)

Sometimes the game flips the unit on top of a stack. Is it possible that Bongo had the elite spear in the turn earlier...just asking. My real problem is that I have not got a turn to play while I'm eating my cereal

Turn 730bc sent to McMeadows.

I find combat reports level 1 to be both cumbersome and useless. Does anyone have objections to moving to level 2?

Any chance of posting some maps screenies, or at least minimaps, so the rest of us know how the game is progressing?

McMeadows isn't posting at the moment due to some access problems with his poly account

I might do some screenshots later, things are rather exciting at the moment(at least for me). How about a 690bc or 670bc update?

I doubt everyone has full map knowledge yet so I am a bit reluctant on posting my own maps. I am in the middle of a war you know.

Level 2 is fine. Took some time time to look it up. Would have helped if you had added a quote.

quote:
Level 2>
A player making any attack must indicate to the defender that it has taken place and provide a brief summary of units involved, along with damage taken.

Scandinavia has been decimated again and is eager to hear HOW. The whole bunch of cats outside Scandinavian territory could not have aided in the attack. Your attack happened one turn earlier than expected. Just post it here, as I'll pass the info on to the others anyway.

Bongo is allready proclaiming meeting Aqualung in the final. I hope either jshelr or Flandrien are able to stop the wild fury that is now taking down the Vikings.

enjoy the weekend. I'm most probably not able to play, still no home network.

Haven't you heard of the fabled 'Mongolian Mounted Catapults'?

Again, going from memory here as my turn-protocol is on my home computer.
4/4HMvs4/4SM=4/4HM
5/5HMvs4/4SM=2/5HM
4/4HMvs4/4SM=1/4HM+2/4SM
5/6ACvs2/4SM=5/6AC
5/6ACvs4/4HM=5/6AC
5/5ACvs4/4HM=3/5AC
1 retreat, no losses, promotions or leaders. I don't guarantee 100% accuracy on the hitpoints though(at least not until I get home)

4/4HM grabs viking worker.

quote:

Something for the AAR I guess. My reasoning/thinking before this battle will remain classified for at least 5 turns.

quote:

Bongo is allready proclaiming meeting Aqualung in the final. I hope either jshelr or Flandrien are able to stop the wild fury that is now taking down the Vikings.

Only that I *hope* to meet him there. It is indeed up to jshelr or Flandrien to stop me.

Well, not so much about stopping me as getting to the final themself.

incredible hat you haven't lost a unit. I always lose a few. Maybe because I start swearing when those HM don't retreat.

Those HM, you killed, would have been out of town next turn, so you made the right decision on attacking. The stats on Malmo will be obvious.

After years of working with computers I have developed a very strong Aura, I make faulty computers work again just by looking at them. Obviously, this also affects the RNG, even when it's not my turn.

My next project is to learn to focus my Aura on getting nothing but green traffic lights when I'm driving

EDIT: Ask me again in 5 turns about this turns events, if your interested that is

Once upon a time, alexman invaded my pre-feudalism civ with an ancient cav army, but lost it

i'm the official poly crusty old bastard. so, don't take my remarks personally

but

1) there are several not-dead civs yet in this game
2) being a substitute, i would not take blame or credit for Russia's performance for several hundred years yet. others should have a similar attitude, perhaps
3) we use this thread to make sure the game is running smoothly
4) you guys have hijacked the thread for a celebration that might not happen until March.

Just one guys opinion
