Oh well.

I suddenly got an idea. I still got the save from 630bc, the turn jshelr claim I got above average lucky. Whaddayasay I give the save to Rommel2d, let him play with it for a while(many reloads!!) Then let him tell us if he thinks my result was the cause of me doing excessive reloads?

Or are you afraid he will clear me?

I'm now merely a spectator of the game after having had bongo trampling over me.

I just passed on my turn. I told jshelr that it's like sports, it gets really interesting when emotion is going to play a part, allthough I think jshelr and bongo could just as well be playing a smart game here. Anyway, to me this is what it's all about. A shame we can't sit down afterwards, have a drink and a laugh together.

As I've mentioned in the main thread, there's a simple fix that causes barbarians to roam as they did back in the PtW days. Would anyone in this game object to making the fix at this point? I believe it would simply be a matter of Bongo adding a line to his .ini file and rebooting...

It doesn't affect anything except the directions that they move in. If they're coming for you as it is, they won't be any stronger or more numerous with the fix.

If there's an uprising stack that has been just sitting to the SW or NE of you however...

Oops, I did indeed make the change

Must have clicked 'yes' instead' of 'no' when asked if I wanted to save the changes to 'conquest.ini'

Should I make a replay with the original setting?

As far as I'm concerned, this is unquestionably a fix of something that was broken in the game, and wouldn't expect anyone to go out of their way to change the .ini file for different games. However, if you don't need the fix for other games or SP, it would be good to play as long as you can in this game without it, Bongo.

No worries bongo, just play with the fix. It's not like it will change my perspective in the game.

I have another question. We're not allowed to show oneanother maps, but we've also been asked to show a little about what's happening in our game. As far as I know, we've all explored our continent, so when I show the map centered on my settlement at the seaside, the information in the minimap is nothing new to us. Is this correct? Please affirm, otherwise I won't publish. I have a bit of unknown black in the Mongolia and Russia area.
