Mongolia again insists that Babylon pulls back its forces and takes them back home. We would like to see a peace treaty signed by both nations with a sensible resolution, to this end we have put a sweetener on the table to the people of babylon!!

Although this is not yet our war we do not wish to see war on our continent, we have a peaceful coexistence with our friends the Sumerians and the Spanish which we will fight to preserve at all costs.

We can not idly sit back and watch the babylonians go on some wild empire building spree when we know trhere lands are already bigger than our continent is !!

We do hope that Babylon and Mongolia can remain friends through trade and we regret the hasty actions of our Sumerian friends which have led to this state of affairs.

Babylon your people are indeed worthy of our admiration, you lead the worlds powers in all fields and we look to you to show us all how to live in peace. Why would such a powerful nation need to encroach on our feeble continent ?

We hope for a future of shared prosperity with your people, to this end we have this day offered you a contract to supply your people with ivory for 20 years free of charge, in recognition of your nations greatness.

the babylonian congressmen shake their head at the idiocity and arrogance of the mongolian emperor.

we were offering a peaceful co-existence on our mutual continent, with the trade of luxuries and technologies. nothing would change for the mongolians except that their ambassadors wouldn't have to speak with sumerian, but with babylonian diplomats.

however, the man who once thought he was capable of negotiating peace between the reds and the blues, now isn't even willing to talk peace for his own people. what arrogance and ignorance comes with the mongolian militaristic trait!

we call to the spanish people to be sencible! don't care about age old alliances, especially not with a nation such as the mongolians who have grabbed nearly half of the eastern continent and posess most of the resources. the bablyonian democratic leaders are offering you a so much better deal:
if you side with us, the stronger, more advanced and culturally supreme nation of babylon, we offer you the complete jurisdiction over the current mongolian empire, the city of hattusas and all of the unclaimed territory. you will be left in peace for the rest of the game and will enjoy deals the mongolians cannot even dream of offering (and wouldn't, even if they could).
if you however attack us, or even enter our territory (in which case you must declare war BEFORE doing so due to a but in the PBEM system) then spain will likely be the first nation to go as it is a lot smaller and nearer than the mongolian lands!

ghengis, my dear ghengis, how false you were once again. we wish to clear out some things you have mistaken about :

* first, we were right about the miserable defence capabilities of your puny keshiks. our cavalry killed every single one of them outside of hattusas, which prior had been captured by a cavalry army. only four of our units were lost while attacking, two units each against the ancient cavalry and the keshiks. the only mongolian survivor was the one that has retreated into the jungle and hills north of hattusas.
had you attacked us, you would not have succeeded, but you would have seriously weakened our forces in isin as only 2 musketmen were defending at the time and otherwise only the cavalry that has now eliminated your barbarians

* second, you are wrong about us being despotic. we are democratic and proud of it! as are the people of the liberated sumerian cities. see a tourist photo of our now fully built palace below.

also, we would like to inform you that our cavalry will have to cross your lands to reach the evil mongolian empire. we would be very pleased with a right-of-passage agreement (which we would _not_ use for backstabbing you!), but understand if you do not wish so. in such a case, we'll just take longer to get through your territory.

please also note that the offer for you to get control of the current mongolian lands only counts if you actively help us in our conquest and declare war on them. if you don't do so, we presume that you are not interested in the western part of your continent and will take it for ourselves.
