Though, seriously, Atlanta does have Vick and as we saw yesterday, San Francisco isn't as bad as everyone thought they were going to be. This time they gave the Saints a run for their money.

I think there is a stat that says 2-0 teams generally make the playoffs. If Vick stays healthy, I think no one will be surprised if Atlanta makes the playoffs. But, I think everyone will be flabbergasted if Detroit makes the playoffs.

They do have a new wide receiver, Roy Williams, a very high draft choice, who is making a huge impact. Remember Randy Moss?

I have more faith in Atlanta making the Play Offs then Detroit

So far, Detroit got a lucky win in Chicago (they were totally outplayed) and beat up on Houston.

Detroit going to the playoffs would be far beyond my wildest dreams. Frankly I'm flabbergasted we actually won 2 games in a row.

The last three years our records were:
2-14
3-13
5-11

So we are off to a spectacular start, don't jinx it by talking playoffs. I'll be happy if we get to like 7-9. Or at least be a kinda respected team.

Detroit is much improved this year. It looks like they are now on the upswing instead of getting worse. You should at least be entertained this year.

I feel the same way for the Bears. Even though they still suck, they are going in the right direction, and there is hope.

You can thank Mora for that. He has a very good game plan against the Rams. But the Falcons made very good plays and were very consistant.

Slight problem with that, Imran. Mora has played these guys for years, and knows their offense inside out, especially the 49ers (considering he worked there, and he was in the same division as the Rams)...

I want to see what happens when they play a team Mora hasn't had much experience of first.

I usually don't post under the name JohnT.

And that criticism can be leveled against any coach. They each know the other teams in their divisions for the longest time, but that doesn't mean anything. Secondly, it goes both ways. Mora's style isn't any different now that he's a head coach. Why? Because he also took SF's offensive coordinator. St. Louis and San Fran knows Mora's style, which has been the Niner's style for the last few years under Mooch and Erickson.

There's a difference. The Rams haven't worried too much about SF. They should have, but they didn't.

They haven't nearly as much as the 49ers have been concerned with them. The made the playoffs fairly easily last year regardless of their loss to SF, but the 49ers can't really afford to win the NFC West without beating the Rams.

Now you are just talking out of your ass. Every team that played the Niners worried about stopping Owens. And if they ignored the Niners, then that just says how incompetant the Rams coaching staff is, and while I think plenty of things about Mike Martz, incompetent game planner isn't one of them.

If you would have seen the last game between the Rams and the 49ers you would understand what I'm talking about. The Rams thought they would have had an easy time. I wouldn't have been suprised to find out that they only prepared for them a couple of days. I think they had a game that they thought would be tougher coming up after it.

If the Rams actually thought they would have an easy time and ignored Terrell Owens and Jeff Garcia then Martz is dumber than I thought.

However, I don't believe that they did take them lightly. The Niners just exploit the Rams. The common rejoinder is oh, we weren't prepared, but that's bullshit. That's like saying a team wasn't ready to play against Randy Moss. If that is the case, then the entire coaching staff should be fired.

No. Martz should be fired for not going for it in the playoffs last year. Losing to the Niners had no consequence for the Rams at all, because we still got home field advantage in the playoffs.
