Better would be "you must raze an AI city with a wonder" - otherwise someone might take their time with something like Mikes Chapel.

In my opinion, to set a requirement that any city with a wonder must be razed is too difficult a constraint. The way I play, I never have enough (offensive) military units to raze anything bigger than a size 3 city, and for a spaceship victory, that works for me well enough.
So I suggest the rule must be that cities with wonders can be captured or bribed, then destroy the wonder, but what about Leo's Workshop? If captured, will it upgrade units immediately before you get a chance to destroy it, or does it not upgrade units until the end of your turn, or even until the next tech discovery? I have never captured it before, as I always build it myself!
I think I will have a go at this one next week. The 'no wonders' constraint will make it a totally different game for me, as I always build loads of wonders. My normal style is very un-aggressive, building a few phalanxes for defence, and maybe 3 warriors per city which upgrade to musketeers and later to riflemen (I always build Leo's). Later, when I build more cities, I will just spread these riflemen out, until many cities are defended by only one rifleman, or two for frontier cities. I build hardly any offensive units, just a horse or two for exploring and killing barb archers, but will acquire a few from huts or bribing of cities. I don’t capture many cities except with ships and later bombers (plus one land unit to walk in), but mostly I capture by bribing. I hardly ever disband a unit, as I always have Leo's, and I always build at least one happiness wonder, so it will make an interesting challenge!
I learned much from last month's tournament (which I didn’t play as I came back from holiday just before it ended), most particularly that I should build my early cities closer together. I will do that next time...

Thanks for educating me on that - I had assumed it could be 'sold' like other city improvements.
Can the constraint be relaxed to permit the capture of cities containing expired wonders, as these have no effect except on score, and avoid the need for pointless (and, for me, difficult!) razing of cities?

SORRY - I was trying to say nothing beyond what I could see or figure out for those considering OCC. The starting techs should have been in the first post, though: you can see that when you open the game...
