Now, this is weird... I have noone in my ignore list, but still I get an user showed as ignored in the latest "name the game" thread in OG? I do know this can happen with old threads or something, but this thread is pretty new.

I found it funny when I I found myself (I used to have other handle) on my ignore list
However, I am being a bit paranoid, so I thought, until I saw this thread, that perhaps I am on those persons' ignore list (there is a person who has the handle 100% the same as my old one, so it was possible), and it just shows like that because perhaps these persons don't want me to read their posts or something

Does that mean ignores are attached to the nick rather than an account.

That is, say Skanky ignored DrSpike, then Spikey changed his nick to MrSpike. Would that mean he would no longer be ignored by Skanky?
