Nope, you have tried to limit the statute to only diplomatic activities when activities around intelligence sharing etc. can very equally apply. Hence the reason diplomacy, diplomatic actions and or diplomat are absent.

Kerry and other protestors were pretty much innoculated to prosecution due to Kent State and other political pressures. Why did Nixon try so baltently hard to win over the youth through his talks with youth at the Lincoln Memorial his spot appearance on Laugh in?

No way Nixon was going to give the appearance of being a police statists when that was exactly what his portrayal already was. No way he was going to feed the beast in a public way. Now if he could have used underhanded covert tricks I'm sure he would have.

That's a nice poster, Drake. I didn't realize that the world is the same thing as a thug that's in power only because the US put him there, and remains in power (in part of the country, anyways) only because 150,000 coalition soldiers are occupying his country. BS. I know people who were personally targetted by the FBI's COINTELPRO. People were murdered, had their marriages and jobs ruined, were driven to suicide, railroaded. The antiwar movement was far from immune.

If Kerry had done something illegal, he'd have gone to prison, especially considering that Nixon was desperately trying to get something on Kerry.

We appointed Allawi and the other Shia exiles to the IGC who objected to losing their power, and we appointed Brahimi to head the comission to choose the gov't. The IGC we appointed nominated Allawi, and we pressured Brahimi into accepting Allawi (who had strong ties to the CIA and State).

Yes, Bremer and Co. did put some pressure on Brahimi to accept Allawi's appointment. You can't show that Allawi is "only in power because the US put him there", however, since such a statement is blatantly untrue; the IGC is far more responsible for Allawi's appointment than the US is.
