THE FAITHFUL REPORT: THE YEAR 1921
Allah has spoken. The evil Russians, having declared war on our great people without provocation, will be destroyed without quarter if they will not see the light of Allah, and the error of their evil ways.
Vogoda fell to our brilliant forces, even in the face of their backstabbing treachery that seriously damaged our forces in the region. It was razed to the ground, as the mayor of this new city refused to convert to the light of Allah.
Our veteran Ancient Cavalry destroyed an 'elite' spearman on a patch of dye-bearing jungle, proving once again that our warriors are brave and strong.
Furthermore, our valiant Veteran Ansar Warrior has destroyed a rogue Russian warrior who was attempting to subvert our supply of gems. Although roads are cut off to our gem supply, we are happy to state that within a few turns, this supply will be renewed, as the Russian cities in between are among the first we will target with our new Cavalry, of which nearly a dozen units are already in the field.
We have sent the map to the Portugese for their perusal and consideration. Although they have no knowledge of the Russians, we will gladly accept their support in our endeavour if they desire to offer it. Although not properly Muslim, they have always shown a willingness to allow believers in their nation, and have always been a friend of the great Arab state.

In 1922, the Arab Army continued its forest fire-like spread through the Russian empire. Tobol'sk was taken over with no contest, as their warrior had vacated the city. His cowardice was rewarded with destruction at the hand of a veteran Ancient Cavalry, without injury.
Another valiant Ansar Warrior converted a working crew of the Russians, and discovered yet another empty city, as well as several groups of men equipped with spears. The mounted warrior smiled, remembering the legions of cavalry he saw training back at home ...
Bryansk fell quickly, although the warriors of Bryansk fought valiantly, one warrior equipped with only a stone knife killed a cavalryman with guns mounted on horse; luck was on their side that day. However, the one man armed with spears and two men armed with knives could not stand up to three Modern Cavalry and one Ancient Cavalry that attacked the city.
Yekaterinburg also fell quickly, driving one cavalry back but the Arab Cavalry regiments quickly regrouped and charged, destroying the two spearmen quickly, only losing one minor injury after that. The Great Wall is now ours!
Arkhangel'sk did not fall this year, but they suffered grievous losses; the lack of available saltpetre kept the Ansar Warriors limited to only iron weapons, and thus they needed a second year to overrun the city, but that did not keep them from killing two defenders without serious damage to their selves.
And so ended the year in winter, with the Arab armies rolling. But would there be a Russian counteroffensive? Only time would tell ...

Continuing coverage of the Russo-Arab War, only on your news leader - Wolf News!
Today in action, our valiant ansar warriors near Shihr defeated two barbaric russian spearmen with only minor injuries. A barbaric russian worker was taken near Samara; the city, though undefended, was spared due to the compassion of the commander. He will be executed upon return to Baghdad.
Yakutsk's defenders proved resilient, losing only once and defeating one cavalry, with one fighting to a draw. They will have to wait a year.
Yekatarinburg's occupying forces defeated two spearmen at little cost to the cavalry therein. Novogrod, which was empty, was also captured, along with some citizens improving the roads nearby; they will assist in the development of new infrastructure in the captured lands.
Rostov was discovered by a wandering cavalry, and attacked, defeating a spearman found inside.
Emar's defenders, brave veteran cavalry, defeated a spearman and a warrior outside Emar, without loss. One was declared "Elite" for its quick and efficient destruction of the Russian forces.

ABC ... Arab Broadcasting Corporation ... is bringing you this
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE
ROSTOV, THE LOCATION OF THE TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS, HAS FALLEN TO VICTORIOUS ARAB FORCES. ONE CAVALRY DESTROYS THE LONE DEFENDING SPEARMEN. MORE TO FOLLOW.
This telegram encapsulates the year 1924 for the Arab forces, one of a few spectacular victories while consolidating the strength of the Arab Empire.
The Western Front:
The year started in Bryansk, with one of our veteran Ancient Cavalry destroying a valiant but outdated Russian Warrior, taking no damage even in the face of Trebuchet fire. A veteran Modern Cavalry comes over and kills the second defending warrior, taking the undefended Trebuchet.
Quickly the front turned to Rostov, as you have heard above, where a single cavalry invaded and won.
The Northern Front:
In Emar, three cavalry defeat three warriors, with only minor scratches on the cavalry. A musketman also jumps in the action, earning a promotion to Elite status for his bravery in the face of enemy fire.
Arkhangelsk fell to an elite Ansar Warrior, who defeated the defending spearman with minor injuries.
New Najaran began with an unfortunate casualty, as a longbowman is outclassed by a now elite spearman. A defending Ansar warrior defeats one of the spearman stack, and an ancient cavalry comes over and defeats another. A third cavalry, an Ansar Warrior, comes over and tries to help, but is unable to do significant damage, and retreats.
The Arab nation chose to halt their offensive for now, and consolidated their gains. Many modern cavalry will complete their training with the new Rifle by 1925, and the Arab Nation awaits with hushed voices the might of the Arab Army to come.
