that being said, i would like to propose we abandon this game unless anybody insist on continuing on. my workload is already causing big delays and a PBEM less may allow me to focus more on the others and reallife.

from an earlier turn when i checked the egyptian capital i saw quite a few war chariots which implies an impending counterstrike. knowing that military tradition has been distributed throughout the world and saltpeter is available, i don't expect anything else but an attack as soon as carthage has rallied its troops and crossed the jungle.
logic would predict that i continue on against egypt before the war chariots are upgraded to cavalry and attack my cities. but i'm not really interested in that, even being aware that delay lets the others catch up.

Count my vote on continuing or not as "abstain". I don't mind to continue as long as you others enjoy it, but I don't insist to, knowing that my current work load is large enough and this game has gotten difficult and time consuming, which is something I have no use for right now.

My vote doesn't count for much, I'm toast and out of the picture anyway. Nonetheless I find it hard to understand why we have spent over a year of commitment to see the game end in such an anticlimax. SirR and Sabre could fight it to a big and interesting showdow.
