	1799 will never be the same Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

a napoleonic game with a few twists

4 human players - the rest AI

initially no set war agianst any particlar nation
so all set alliances to be removed

we just be europe going about its business etc

the napoleonic pbem map will have some changes

- England will give over its Portuguese holdings to Spain

- England will give over it's Naples holdings to France, Austria and the Ottoman

- Sweden will be split up between England and Prussia
thus Sweden is not a player in the game, but her land starts with two players straight up

- England gets the French Danish holdings for Amsterdam

- Settlers to be enabled

- Bombard option enabled on ships of the line
and possibly men-o-war
(opinions needed on this bombard issue, I just feel that with settlers on then we have plenty of growth / expension available)

you have the choice of the following nations in play order:

Russia - Czar MickeyJ

France - Prince Paddy

Britain - Lord Gunner

Ottoman - Sultan Andy


And the AI:
Austria

Spain

Prussia

You actually get an opportunity to smartly pick a civ, as you know the location and civ abilities of the three human players. Ottoman puts you in direct contact with Russia (mickeyj) only. Spain puts you in direct contact with France (paddy) only. Prussia and Austria puts you inbetween both France and Russia. Prussia and Austria have decent militaries. I played Austria in the previous Napoleon PBEM. I like the Hussar UU. It might be worth it for you to start a "hot seat" PBEM based on this scenario and play a few turns playing each of the different civs. If you do this, try to recall the changes that Paddy has suggested that will change the gameplay balances. no, probably the best suggestion for our friend Andydog is to play a few turns of the scenario before selecting a civ for this game.

It seems any of the four choices left are good ones.

Andy, I think that you would have a great time as the mighty Ottomen. They have a great empire, some real fiesty units, and are perched comfortably in a corner of the map

this would also give the map a balanced effect with two of us on each side of the map

so are the 4 of us to be staunch and loyal allies

or is this to be a game of chance / diplomacy and the issues of life

I also understand I have pushed it a bit with the 1.15 issues

well I ask now for a little patience with me on getting this game sorted

my c3c 1.22 editor is fritzed now that I am again running a dual install (1.15 & 1.22)

so I need to set all this up on the laptop

all being well I will get it done before I crash tonight

That's the correct address, cheers shogun.

Unfortunately it isn't accepting the password supplied by Paddy. The save appears correct (its asking for an Ottomans password), and I made sure I entered it correctly.
