It seemed from Ben's comments in the original trilogy like Anakin had actually been a good jedi for a fair amount of time. It seemed like Ani had been grown up when Ben first met him. I don't really see anything good about Ani in AotC.
All humans in the Milky Way are descendants of colonists from the SW Galaxy. And when the Milky Way or the Universe ends, people from here will travel to the beginning of the universe and colonize the SW Galaxy.
Seriously, maybe the TV series will show us what's happening there now.

Well, hopefully Lucas won't screw up the whole timeline. I mean, they like 50 books out now. It'd be a shame to screw up everything.
What I would really like to see, and this is what got me hooked on the books, at least the ones with the Empire in them, not those dumb bio-weapon people, is a Thrawn trilogy movie.
Thrawn was the Empire at its greatest. He was the best tactician they ever had, was an alien of all things, and was written by Timothy Zahn, a damn good author. He carried none of that "I am evil and flawed from hate", only the drive for order. I think he was a better nemesis to the New Republic than anyone else and had a better best chance of destroying the Rebellion, more than anyone else, including Palpatine.

Good, I thought it was just me that found the Yu-whatever Vong dumb, uninspiring and a damn fine reason to quit reading the books. I tried to hang on for the first few, but they felt an awful lot like that sequel that you have no doubt halfway through will be the absolute last one, simply because it's an interest-killer.
Thrawn was, indeed, the Empire at its finest. I became a Zahn fan with that trilogy, and I don't even read sci-fi, outside the SW books.

I still say Anakin turned to the Dark Side before AotC.
I don't like the idea of the Vong either, not that I would have read those books anyway.
It was nice to be able to say the books and everything all fit together, but it looks like even Star Wars has alternate realities. I know you would all love it if they throw in some time travel to explain it!

yall do realize you're referring to a movie as 'canon'... yall are aware of that right?
and though i've never seen any of the star wars movies, for some reason from some unknown source, i thought the emperor was a former senator who seized control. i dont know how or why i had that idea i just thought that was how it happened in the movies.

speaking of science fiction and things happening in 'disappearing time'... doesn't star trek have this situation? With Enterprise confusing the whole chronology established in the shows and the movies?
