yeah, he slid and clearly stuck his elbow out in a very unnatural way (not accidental) but edgar moved out of the way.

Yes, it was...hmmm...which team caught him? Pirates maybe? I can't recall, but yeah, it was pine tar. I think he got 7 games for it. He flipped his hat into the stands, so there was no evidence beyond what the ump saw.

He has a dirty hat all the time and touches it before every pitch. Superstion? Cheating? Who knows.

He's a real piece of work, and probably a lot of cards fans wished he punched the phone with his other hand...

Exciting game. Very fun to watch, but not a well played game . There were too many errors all around (5 in total counting both teams). Both Wakefield and Williams looked overmatched by the offense. One point of concern for the Sox, Pujols and Rolen did nothing tonight. That won't stand for the rest of the series. When they start hitting... watch out!

Some of the errors were just brutal last night. But the BoSox should consider themselves lucky... they make a ton of errors, walk a bunch of batters, and get a win out of it. A fun game to watch.

what's bothering me lately is these greedy networks running commercials too long. They done it with football, and now I see them doing it with baseball. Although at least this last break they did manage to get the base hit in (first pitch), but barely. They almost missed it with the commercial break. And it's been bothering me in football. Sometimes they miss the play entirely.

And for baseball, even if they show the hit, you still don't get to see the pitcher's face, and the preparation for the pitch. And I even missed the actual pitch! It's what gives baseball more personality than other sports. It's a sport that requires concentration.

jeez they sure have a lot of errors.

Schilling probably isn't hitting the strike zone as we'd all like (but he avoided the walk, so that's good). He might not be back next inning. but he did a good job, even with the errors.
