	PLEASE validate this for me.. I have proof Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I was playing as the chinese Player #2
he was the vikings Player #1

he has 8.9 MILLION! gold...
and 8.9 MILLION PW's...

I'm guessing the most you can start with is 9,999,999 of each... I've never tried to cheat this before, never had a reason to...

btw... it was re-synching about 9 out of every 10 turns

this is the 4th savegame of him and I with such 10million starting funds....

The first game we played where I learned this (never really specualted before)...

was when I took 2 of his cities and EACH one gave me 500k pw and gold...


when you conquer a city it takes the number of cities and divides the gold and pw and gives it to the conquering player along with the city... for each consecutive city... and vice versa...


think about it..

and I have one question because the BOY will not EVER grow up and play w/o cheating... How can I as a client, prevent him from cheating in this game? is there a way?
or even as a HOST how can I?

I enjoy playing games with this guy... but he's had a habit of cheating and I'd like to FORCE him to stop cheating.. so we can play a legit game... its quite irritating....

the only other options I see myself having are cheating ALONG with him... urgh... or picking a different game to play..

I think his computer gives him 10million gold when he STARTS the games... and then never repleneshes it... kinda like he modded the slic for the scenario creation.. or something...

would starting a sp game with say X computers playing 0 turns... not doing anything, saving.. then hosting in MP and letting him take one of the computers starting locations would fix his childish "I have to cheat" problem?

What mod were you using? Or what version of CtP2? It crashes when I try to load it.

CTP2 with the patch, and city expansion mod...

and I tweaked a BUNCH of the science issues regarding how fast you advanced through the game...

just copy all that on the origional folder with the overwrite all

and back your origional files up

Its ok I loaded it.

Obviously the Viking player has cheated in some way or its a hurrendous bug in city expansion, but I doubt it.

I cant see why you would want to play against a repeated cheater, I certainly wouldnt, in CtP2 or any other game again.

There are many people here who would play against you that I KNOW arent cheats.

Its also funny that with your friend even using those cheats im pretty sure a lot of players here would still beat your friend without cheats.

well its more of like bragging rights than anything... most games we've played I've kicked his ass at.. and there's been times and games he's kicked my ass at..

I'd just like to add this one to the list... namely because EVERY (turn-based) strategy game we've played... he's beaten me.. cheating or not...
and I dunno... this really kicks his credibility in the balls
makes me wonder if he cheated on the other games too...



but I dunno... if any of you guys want a game... gimmie a hollar... I usually play via Kali and have no problems connecting there

The guy who posted the original thread is a friend of mine. However, he gets extremely cranky when I beat him at like almost every single computer game we play. He thinks I cheat in them all or at least this one. Because I am a member of this forum and frequent this site, I wish to at least present my case. I had to go out with my girlfriend and left the game (I was hosting). He stayed in it and connected to it through another computer in his apartment. If thats not cheating enough, I think he saved the game and then edited the save file and presented that to this site to rant on. I made a RAR file of the save game I made before I left the game. I'm uploading it directly from my "D:\Program Files\Activision\Call To Power 2\ctp2_program\ctp\save\mp\Demigo" directory. My name on CTP2 i made is Demigod_Slayer which is prolly why it made a folder Demigo. My save game is nothing like the one he speaks of, which leads me to believe he is trying desperately to indicte me as a cheater. I have no need to cheat when I beat him in every game all the time. RTS, turn based. Just ask him who beat the heck outa who in Warhammer - DOW as a freakin beta tester!

BTW - he edited the barbarians and goddy huts to give about 5000 gold every time you turn one over. But you also have a greater risk of barbarians coming out with the minimum of 3 coming out. Get lucky - get LOTS of gold. And yes, there is a pattern to the goody huts that do and dont have barbarians.

yes I was under the suspicion that you were cheating so I investigated. On the different filename dir structure, it saves the games based on the PLAYERS name and empire you are PLAYING.. its the same game.

The year is different because the game that I saved on my turn W/O the computer playing one of your turns WILL LOCK UP (there is some part of you having a turn that crashes the game....) if I let the computer play ONE turn then save, it moderates out whatever substianciating line on command you are running (seperate program that logs the current #of gold in the background and imports 9,999,999 gold and PW in its place while its running, and after your turn it reverts BACK to the starting gold... (as to minimize trace of cheating) **** I don't know... ) and after I save on that turn, load, and look... its got 9million gold.

as I stated before, its a SEPERATE program you are running that makes it LOOK like you aren't cheating... but in case YOU ARE... the savegames yes, are a different dir structure and filename due to the game.
oooh... and load my savegame.. enter cheat mode.. IT WILL GIVE YOU THE WARNING ON NO SCORE!
I HAVE NOT EDITED THE FILE!...

again ted, that is a straight out lie... I've won the last 7 games we've played IN A ROW....
but again.. this game and "how good you are at it" are IRREVELANT to this situation...

so what I edited the goodie huts... so what?
load the game in single player, say restart, and ADD ALL of the # of huts NEAR your player, give gold out of each (max was 5k) and hell give the whole 5k each... thats a tops of 45,000 gold... and not to mention that 60% of them are NOT gold... and 45k will NOT buy you as much crap as your bought.. NEVER in a million years... not to mention you don't even have the wages maxed out on profit... do the math... it would NEVER happen...

and a pattern???? ahhahhaahahha lolooloolol you must be kidding...
there is no pattern.. the way the huts are treated, there is NO POSSIBLE PATTERN to how they are placed, what graphic they give, or what is inside them other than a ratio of percentages to recieve which goodie or barbarians or nothing at all...

ooooh and again on the gold issue... I had run through as many huts, if not more, and gotten the same amout of gold, if not more... and I spent it all.... yet you have the ability to buy 4x the buildings AND troops I do? hardly...

just because you use whatever cheat you are using, wether it be slic editing, a seperate program, or hex editing of the savegames... (it was saved after turn ~70ish on your computer.. and then loaded from your save... then you began to kick my ass from then on... and a 36hr rebuttle on posting your savegame... lol.. time to re-edit down?).. posting a different savegame will NOT fix the fact you have no argument, nor a standing on the issue... its quite OBVIOUS you are cheating ted... I dunno what else to say.

Look, he posted on here earlier for the same thing. He showed graphs as so called proof. The guy who seems to know everything about CTP2 (Adam A) replied and varrified my honesty. Lathan then accepted that I'm not a cheater. Obviously he has gotten sick of me beating the hell out of him and tried to discredit my name. I could sue for liable. Hmmmmmm. When I open the save game from my mp directory in single player it says that the score will not be recorded and accept terms of the editor. And for our games to connect, we have to have the same gamedata directory or it will say invalid databases error when we try to connect. We've done that before. So if two people have the same gamefiles, running the same mod, one player has been PROVEN honest - Lathan hasn't, and Lathan is desperate, then how and why would I cheat??? If any of you know of a multiplayer "trainer" then give it to Lathan - he obviously needs all the help he can get.

BTW - building advanced farms under cities go a looooong way in making population grow FAST! You can't pillage it unless you destroy the city. And no, there is no rule saying you can't do that, however exploitable it is.

I did not however put farms under my cities this time around. for the save game file we offered.

Both my file and his file are the same, except that his is hacked - he told me so as I was leaving my apartment.

*Note to Lathan: Quit trying to name me as a cheater - I don't cheat, never have, and never will.

Okay, I'm gonna have to step in now...

It's quite clear you guys have a serious problem with each other, a problem that goes much deeper than just CtP2. But especially since you know each other IRL, I'm not going anywhere near that. It's your problem, figure it out amongst yourselves.

Unless evidence to proof the opposite is presented, I'm going to assume that any cheating or lying or whatever else may have been going on is a result of that problem. For now there is no reason to assume either of you will cheat when playing against other members of this community. So whoever may or may not be guilty of what is a moot point.

From what I can tell, you're both nice guys, I like having you here. But the problem you guys have with each other is not Apolyton's problem. So as far as this argument goes:
