Who's up for a PBEM game using PTW?

Anyone who fancies it, just post and suggest any rules you like. Once we've got a few players and a consensus on the rules etc. we'll start

There are a few PTW games still running - and PTW Classics game started up this summer, but other than that, I think most folks are playing Conquests.

Then again - maybe the response will be surprising.

Ok..welcome and actually me, Platypuss Rex and Dauphin are playing a Play the World PBEM called newbies pbem worldwide -play the world/monarch

Its a very good game and if you choose to play you may count me in a game with Play The world

I am a vet from CTP and a fairly novice at CIVIII

I am open..I would say me and Paddy are playing a real neat game called Dwarves & Trolls as well as another called SPLIT Personalities basically you have control of two civs

I am very impressed

How about random everything? Civs included?

And I might suggest 4 players, to get some speed going. Maybe a few turns a day sometimes, if we're lucky ...

Play order? When do you play turns usually? I play a turn 6:30am US CT if it's there, otherwise sometime in the afternoon. Beta from our common experience plays at about the same time, so can either play just before or just after me (probably before is better).

4 players I haven't played against...
Hmmm if you guys (and girl) don't mind to go around the world entirely, I'd like to jump in all random as well. Usually my response time is fairly quick, so I won't be delaying the game too much. (I'll play the flames game just after this message Paddy, it's all good )

The number of turns a day is wished for being at least 1, but in practise will be below in almost all games. Just join a few more (or many like Paddy, Beta and Aqualung) and you'll have plenty of game time.

if not no dramas, plenty of this crew can get that sorted very quickly
or we can help in anyway

also as we have 8 players I think it important that we get a basic play order sorted

Grandpa, it may take us an extra day now, but with 8 players it will save us many many days / weeks in the months to come

my times: any 17 to 18 hours 6 days out of 7
so please fit me in where you would like

or for more definite times: GMT 0900 to 1300 and/or 2100 to 0100

Except for map size. I agree - go with standard.

And Paddy is right - let's get the play order sorted out. The old east to west thing.

I can play in the morning of EST, as well as the evening of course.

Hmmm as it does seem to go for a 8 player game, what about giving each player 2 civs (played after one another)? The biggest PBEM game ever . I'm allright with the settings as they were.

my times:
mon-fri usually 5:30-22:00 GMT (I'm at GMT+1). I prefer the saves in the morning and evenings. In the weekend it's much harder to say, I might be out all weekend, just as well online at the weirdest times.

McM - the max # of civs for a pbem game is 8, unfortunately.

And as a name for this game - combinging Zulu Elephant with one of the Great military/adventure flicks of all time....
