Why don't you just register Republican and be done with it! Talk about a complete turn around in your agenda. |
Thats not a turn of agenda, lets break it down:
quote:
Liberals are fighting for true American values like boundless opportunity, |
a poor family can't achieve- if you are worrying about paying for food, your kid will most liekly not get the education they deserve- the government needs to ensure the ability of people to get the basics.
End corporate pork, end subsidies to business that allow McDonals to get tens of thousands of dollars for creating a job at McDonalds!
quote:
and the ability to carry out your own values free of government interference- |
If two women want to marry, and there is a church willing to do it, who are we to say no?
quote:
We seek to ensure all Americans have a level playing field, where success is achieved because of talent, not privilage- |
A kid born in the urban ghetto, or in a dying farm town should have the same opportunity to an education and being healthy and wel-feed as some kid born in a fancy suburb or condo in a wealthey neighborhood.
quote: where the market is a means towards a better future, not and end of the good life. |
Worship of the free market is idolatry at the feet of Mammon. True free trade is the most subjective thing in the world- in a true free market, everything and anyone would have a price.
quote: Where every child can expect the basics that will allow them to reach as hgih as they can. That is what libeals seek to achieve. |
We seek to make sure that whomever your parents were, and wherever they live, you will be able to get the chance to become a barron of industry or a famous artist- and we will also make sure that in doing so, you do not rob anyone else of that chance either.

Huh? So now lowering the cost of starting new companies doesn't create more jobs? Encouraging Americans to be independent and to start their own businesses is welfare? You've got some seriously screwed up values my friend.

Was it because you have seen some Democrat talking about how we've got to make more welfare moms or is it your perception that was formed through false information. This is the kind of thinking we Democrats need to change.
By the way. This is not a whining thread. It's an ideals, recommendations and strategy thread. So if you have any constructive criticisms or suggestions, let's hear them. If not....try one of Ned's threads.

fanatic party hacks--and i have to say, that's what GF and ML happen to be--fail to realize that there is a much greater diversity in political beliefs than democrats and republicans.
incidentally, i found this site humorous: [ http://www.sorryeverybody.com ]
i'm thinking of sending in my picture alongside one of illinois saying, "Don't blame me, I voted for Jerry Kohn!"
