That new 1500 calorie burger is called the 1 pound double cheese burger and you can order it with just about everything imaginable. It looked good but once I saw how big it was I knew I wasn't up to the challenge. Instead I ordered Carl's signature "$6 burger" which costs $3.50 but which really does taste like a burger you'd buy at a sit down restaurant. I had mine toped with guacamole & bacon which has a half pound of juicy burger goodness (which uses 100% angus beef instead of the ground tongue, penis, and god knows what else McD's puts in their burgers), fresh (not previously frozen) guacamole, two pieces of crisp bacon, two slices of jalapeno pepper jack cheese, a spicy sauce, and more lettuce/onions/tomatoes then you would believe.

Topped off with fries & a coke and I was in fast food heaven.

yeah the $6 burger is pretty good. That is the last burger I have eaten come to think of it. Not because it was bad, but because I laid off fast food for my diet.

In Vegas you can get the lunch special at most of these small chinese places. They aren't fast food, but they are pretty fast.

I can get a lunch special for $4.99 AND it was enough for 2 meals. I got a doggy bag and brought it home. The dinner costs more though.

How big is the $6 burger, anyway? For that sort of money, I'd expect a real meal, and a normal-sized burger (a BigMac, say) hardly constitutes that.

Wendy's and Chick Fillet aren't that bad as far as fast food goes. 'Course Supersize Me has traumatized me against it.

And local burger joints, decent bars, etc. are much better for that sort of food.

the $6 burger isn't really $6 . They just call it that because it tastes like a $6 burger you'd get at a regular sit down restaurant. I think it's a silly name, but that's besides the point.

It actually costs about $3.

Got spare money?

personally, I don't see what's wrong with this burger.

First of all I don't think I could eat 2/3 of a pound of meat. I could make 2 meals out of this. Thus, the calorie count would not be excessive if you made 2 meals out of this. Or ate the entire thing and skipped your next meal.

It's a half pound of beef and it isn't $6. Like I said it's $3.50. They are advertising that it tastes like a $6 sit down restaurant burger.
