BK is currently doing both. The low-carb menu is a joke, but every now and then somebody wants one. The garden salad is actually pretty good, and 1 packet of dressing is only 90 calories. So it actually is low-fat, low calorie.

On the other end we had the chicken whopper for over a year and we sold some. Then they introduced a deep-fried breaded version and it sells like hotcakes. And it's pretty tasty.

Hardees still sucks. In 1 or 2 years they'll all be converted to Carl Jrs.
And that burger does not look appetizing at all.

I wouldn't want the double thick burger, but the regular thick burgers are great, only in n out burgers are better in the fast food world. The problem is you can't get a beer with them. So I still prefer a couple of local restaurants, plus I can actually get them medium rare.

Burger King is gross. Flame-broiling crap still makes it...crap. If you're talking about a nice Angus burger, that's a different story, but BK is disgusting. Might as well eat White castle.

First, a Turkish restaurant in Denmark beat this burger-and in terms of supposed meat quantity, does not Wendy's have the classic tripple? isn;t that .75 lbs of meat vs this .66 lb of meat? The calories come from the type of meat, plus the bacon.

So this burger is not even special in the quantity of meat-and it does not even seem to have lettuce, onions, or tomatoes...how boring and unimaginative

As for the meal issue:

First of all, you guys are heathens for thinking Soup is only a first course, but I expect that from hamburger obsessed people....

And yes, for 7 dollars that that burger meal costs I can get a great plate of mixed lamb and chicken gyro, or a hearty plate of pork chops with white rice, beans, fried plantain and even potato salad.

Of the mass market burgers, the whopper is the best, thought their angus burger was good.

Do you guys still have whitecastle? I've never seen one but I've heard of the bad reputation.

All the flame-broiling does is bring out the taste of the chemicals and preservatives, at least to my refined palate, anyway.

I worked at Wendy's during college, and would consider them the best in terms of taste and freshness. The patties came right off the grill, and the condiments were alway kept crisp and cold. Rallys would take second, although there's not many around.

White castles are still around, but sliders aren't as cheap as they used to be. I guess they think they're upscale now or something.
