That makes you think about the magnitude of the project they are attempting. After reading about it, it is a project that I feel everyone should be involved in. The 'Poly team only has 36 members and we are verging on the top 100 teams. It sure would be nice if others could join up.

The number of returned results is pretty irrelevant. Earlier this year my computer spent 150 hours with one package. I did got something like 4500 points from that one too though

My laptop completed a unit, sent the results to the server and then started to download a new unit. It stopped at 28k downloaded, stood there for maybe a minute, then said it was backing out. Everytime i restart it, it tries to do the same:
1- Resends the results
2- starts downloading a new unit
3- stops at +/- 28k
4- backs out and just waits.

Anybody else experience this?

But when you play a game, WorldCommunityGrid stops using the cycles, because you are playing. The applet takes lowest priority.

BTW, I need a bit of help. I wanted to install WCGrid on my parent's computer, but they use the Windows Firewall. I tried to configure the firewall so that WCGrid can connect, but to no avail. As I don't wish to disable their firewall, I ended up uninstalling WCGrid (couldn't upload the results, while my laptop could do it using the same shared connection).

Does anybody know precisely how to adjust the firewall's settings to correctly upload WCGrid's results?
