For a while, no extraordinary things happened. The preparations for scouting were progressing smoothly, the quarry was getting ready. We heard first stories of other major towns emerging around the world, but for now, they were only stories.

Much growth has occurred over the years since the Carthaginians planted their feet in a single settlement, although hardships had followed them as well. Scouts sent into the nearby jungle disappeared and were never heard from again. Some believed that crossing the jungle perimeter went against the Gods, and others felt that wild monsters roamed beneath the thick shelter of leaves.
After much discussion and heated arguments, no decision could be made. A small group of courageous men gathered together to test weapons, and started to form a group that would brave the Jungle, even without the support of the elders….
