18) The granary’s vast food storage was meant to be Hattusas’ greatest asset, but under Zidanta’s corrupt stewardship it became its most powerful weapon. As Hattusas grew ever larger the herds roamed wider and wider. Even the Wild Landers could no longer count on its passing. Some picked up and resumed the nomadic life but the grasslands of Hatti were, by now, quite full and the wanderers found no welcome. The Wild Landers began to hunt each other as much as the herds, but whenever a tribe was driven from their hunting grounds and facing starvation Zidanta’s priests would bring the blessing of Telepinu. Each grain, a prayer to the goddess of the harvest and High Priest Zidanta was sure they knew that all these prayers had to pass through him. So it was inside Hattusas also. When the hunts failed and the people came to the granary for their sustenance, Zidanta made it seem that they were being fed by his largess alone.

Sorry, My new puppy chewed through my Cable internet connection at home Plus I have been given a new computer at work, and all of my shortcuts, and favorites went AWOL, so it has taken me some time to do all of my catch-up. i will try to play my turn tonight, over good 56k Goodness.

Once again i appologize for holding up the game.
