Yes, it's my turn...and an exciting turn it should be. I was hoping for some action.

Skrobism, don't worry for a moment. It's just a game and I am accustom dealing with such situations. I have been playing a small succession game with my children (12 and 9 yrs old...they are hooked on CivIII much to the dismay of my wife). You have no idea how much a 9 yr old can screw up a perfectly good set-up...if I didn't laugh I would cry (of course, we play on the easiest level).

I probably will not play until Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll get it done on Wed....otherwise it could be another week.

I have more from earlier Discworld books and from other Pratchett novels, but those are in Polish. Luckily, a great translator works on those books.

I played my turns, things looked a little bleak, at first, but we are really in good shape. Except we are way behind in techs. Oh and we have only 2 workers (plus a few slaves).

I noticed that only a few civs had Mil. Traditions. So I went to trading table and made a few deals. Persia gave Democarcy, 201 g, and 73 gpt. Sumeria gave Incense, 56 g, and 66 gpt. Germany gave Theory of Gravity and WM.

I changed the slider to 50% happ. and 50% research. Our people are not happy.

Upgraded a few units with the new gold. At the end of turn we are getting 141 gpt and will have Steampower in 11 turns.

Our MPP with Persia has approx. 13 t left. The Mil. All. against Spain are approx. 10 t. I will try to reclaim some territory and then make peace. It's time to get out of this war, our people are very, very, very upset.

Carthage demands Saltpeter, or else. I refuse and they back down. I was not sure if we were stronger, but Carthage is far, far away...so it was not much of a risk.

We now have 18 workers and a few slaves.
The MPP with Persia has expired. I make peace with Spain; they only will give 20g. I was hoping for a tech or a small city, but no such luck. Now our people are very very very happy. We may be ready for democracy, but I will let the next person decide.

1250 - Done. We are still far behind in techs. I am researching Electricity (6 turns away). Hopefully, it is tradeable for other techs. I hope we can get Smith's (6 turns away); I accidently let Niagara fall into Anarchy, twice. So if we come up 1-2 turns short...it my fault.

Paddy or Snoopy, as soon as one of them shows up. Both seem pretty busy lately - at least in regard to sccession games.
