sabre, get yourself into a flatshare with 4 or 5 sociable people. i've always found it to be a great way to quickly get into a new circle of friends. just make sure they're cool people!

sabre, i've had one or two bad flatshare experiences, but on the whole have really enjoyed it. i can think of a few London flats i've lived in where we all became very close friends, reguarly going out together to experience London in all sorts of different ways. mickeyj (who you recall played my turns for me in this game when i went on summer holiday) is one of my closest mates here in london and i met him when he answered our 'flatmate wanted' advert. ended up living with him for a couple of years with 3 other girls and 1 other guy. now that was a fun flat!

you just need to be easygoing and tollerant, and don't be afraid to move on when the time comes.
